Site Owner Posts: 550 | Minnow didnt even bother narrowing her eyes, merely flicked her blade into her palm as she watched, observing as the man stood and began to move towards them, flanked on either side by another, murmuring quietly, "Fitting as that may be, we've more pressing issues to deal with. Our watcher has friends - two behind you and at least one behind me. If they are going to attempt using one of my pack's tactics when it comes to ambush one would think they might be intelligent enough not to be so obvious with it." Minnow remained seated however, biding her time, tensing almost imperceptibly.

She spoke quietly, her tone never rising, never faltering. But ot was calm, unfazed. As if even this many wolves coming near her and surrounding the pair did not bother or disturb her in the least. Some called it cocky, a few believed it was arrogance. But the majority it freaked out, making them wonder what hell Minnow had been through to cause such detachment to the level she displayed, or what she had seen that could possibly cause her to bat nary an eyelash. "Speak now, if you must, or be gone, and leave us to our evening."

Minnow fell silent, merely raising a brow, as the male looked her over, curling his lip as if he didn't quite believe she had dared to speak. She thought about saying something to the effect of "Got a problem?" but she refrained, sensing it would not help their current situation. Instead, she merely waited, never pulling her gaze, or even wavering, not even the slightest flicker or hint of a falter in her steady stare, even as her ear swiveled back, picking up the scruff of shoes against the floor, alerting her to the fact that the man behind her was moving closer. The way this stranger looked over her body made Minnow's skin crawl, but as always, she dealt with uncomfortable situations as she normally would have, displaying that often unnerving calm. Almost as if the more intricate, volatile portions of her personality had been removed, or at least taken from her at an early age, likely somewhere during the chaos that was her childhood. When Alucard spoke, the man looked him, dipping his head, and muttered in a gruff tone, "We have come on behalf of our employer, Senator Cothern, seeking an alliance with two of the most ruthless packs to ever walk the earth. We would greatly appreciate your assistance in a certain matter, one we can not resolve ourselves under our own power, despite how simple it might seem...however, if there is another BloodyIce representative, we wish to speak with them. I'll not do business with a woman." At this, Minnow merely smiled, a corner of her mouth quirking up as she appeared to relax in her chair, uncrossing her legs so that she was braced and ready for whatever this insignificant group might try. "Then you'll not do business with the BloodyIce." She informed him softly, "as I am the only pack member present in this area. Besides this is the fact that we are predominantly ruled by women. My mother would have your tongue for such insolence, but if you have no desire for female aid, you had best work elsewhere." She did not reveal just yet that she had left her pack of origin, the place she had grown to maturity and the area where she had been taught, trained, and honed in her special skills, finding that it was a most inoppertune time to do so. The more fiercely they believed BloodyIce, and therefore, herself, as a member of that brutal pack, the less trouble she was likely to have out of them, particularly since they seemed against feminine power. But they would learn quickly - Minnow was no plaything to be tossed about and broken before they left her, in fact, if pushed, it was often she who did the breaking, even if it pained her delicate heart and soul to do so. It was why she had left BloodyIce. However, she would not hesitate to kill in an effort to defend herself, and even by taking in her dull, if a bit unusual, appearance, she was sure these brutes were aware of this particular bit of information. It did not seem to bother them, however, much as their hostility towards her did not appear to faze Minnow, for the one behind her had come up and placed himself behind the chair, where he grabbed hold of her arms, thinking to have pinned her down as their leader spit and spluttered, not used to such nerve in a woman. "Unhand me." Minnow commanded softly, dangerously, the golden light lurking just behind her eyes going out, leaving only a dark black void of empathy or compassion, the more evil side of her, the more harrowing part of her nature. When he merely laughed, Minnow shoved her booted feet against the legs of the table, sending the chair crashing back into his abdomen and torso, breaking his hold as he, and therefore, she, went tumbling, rolling to her feet and flicking her blades out not even flinching as her back struck the low surface of the seat's back, merely rolling her shoulders and cracking her neck, prepared for whatever trickery or insults, even attacks, that might come next. She was braced evenly, her feet a shoulder width apart, and her lean figure poised, hands by her sides, blades glittering in the flickering dimness of the bars lights. "Anyone else care to try their luck?" The taunt was whisper soft, her challenging gaze upon the leader, revealing her birth place and origins as cleanly as her scent, for try as she might, Minnow would never be fully rid of the traditions and habits that embodied her soul, and would never quite manage to shake off all the arcane lessons she had thus been taught, as an extension to her repulsive upbringing.

Member Posts: 201 | Shadows surged around the senators men as Alucard vanished from his seat and reappeared behind one of them. "Now then... I suggest you listen to the lady, lest things become... bloody." He leered.
