Site Owner Posts: 550 | Leah walked alongside her mate as they made their way into the city, her pale, fragile hand entwined tightly with his own, feeling a bit more secure with the protective embrace of his arm wrapped about her. Taking a soft breath, she leaned against him, cherishing his closeness, and the power it provided her - the courage to keep going. Her father would be looking for two of them now - he knew about Welkin, and the fact Edward had disappeared would only add more fuel to the fire, she was sure. Shiuld he ever get his hands on her again...well, it wouldn't be pretty. But Welkin assured her it wasn't going to happen; he was going to protect her no matter what. That was all well and good, but it could not completely alleviate her worry. Still, the worst thing she could do was draw attention...which was precisely what happened when she jumped at the sound of a car jorn, a twnse snarl curving her lips, tail flashing up in defiance. Only to discover it was an ordinary worker going about their daily business. A sigh left her lips as she relaxed, free hand going to her chest in relief. Just a normal person. Not her father or his goons. The throb of her birthmark brought her back to her surroundings, and the teen was reminded why she was so very tense. Some sort of danger was approaching, judging by its ache, but what? A soft growl and intake of breath was the only indication of discomfort she gave, along with a slight increase in the dim luminescence of the mark.

Welkin held her closer after the little outburst and rubbed her back softly to calm her. He whispered to her while they walked as he saw she was getting some pain from her mark "It will be alright Leah.. We both have guns on us and they wouldnt be brazen enough to try to snatch us off the street in the middle of the lunch rush.. we are okay" He murmers to her softly as they walked in tothe clothing store. Welkin stayed with her the whole time wondering what sort of clothes she would like then it hit him sort of like a train which Leah may have found amuseing. Leah never had picked her own clothes before... so welkin may very well have to assist her, not that he minded he just thought he was an idiot for forgetting something that should have been so clear to him, it honestly made him feel bad and a bit of an asshole for not realiseing untill the walked in the doors of the store. He looked down at Leah and gave a reassureing smile to her "Lets get you some jeans and a few pairs of shorts and cargo pants first okay?"

"No, they'd back us into a secluded corner," she muttered to herself, turning her snapping black eyes onto the ground, permitting him to draw her closer, focusing on the sensation of his hand on her back, enjoying the brisk rubbing sensation it brought her, ears flicking through the slits she'd cut in the baseball cap. She made sure to keep her head down and her hand in his, tail by her sides, wincing from time to time when a particularly sharp pain stabbed through her mark, though she didn't mention it further, nor did she voice her worries. What was the point? She didn't know what danger was approaching, or just how dangerous whatever it was actually held. Her visions had abandoned her - hah, not like it's the first time, she thought rather darkly to herself - and, not for the first time, she had no idea what to expect, or any inkling of what was coming. Still, it didn't leave her any less on edge, and that much was clear as they continued on their supposedly merry way down the street, though she paused beside him as they entered the store, lifting her head to survey the vast realm of airconditioned shopping options, a slight smirk coming to her pretty face as she realized she'd been here before. Not legally, of course, but she'd been here all the same, and she remembered well the tightly fitting, almost nonexistent space that were their airducts. As he turned that reassuring smile upon her, Leah felt her insides quiver and melt (something she still wasn't quite used to, was love supposed to feel like that? And according to who, anyway? Leah was sure it was different for every person, but who was she to know? Either way, she knew that she loved him at the very least) though she didn't really display such an emotion outwardly. Instead she raised a brow when her mate took on that softer tone, one that a body might use to placate a child or to calm a hysterical and clearly terrified female, tartly informing him, "I've been here before, Welkin. It's just been awhile." Reaffirming her grasp on his hand, grip growing a bit tighter as a single lip curled in a grimace, she gave a cursory glance at the shop and its workers, heading off towards an aisle of jeans near the back, where it would be a bit more private, and where they could talk without fear of being over heard, if the need of such arose. Besides, the section appeared to have her style of clothing, and it was mostly petite or juniors - stuff she could wear with ease. Pulling him close beside her, she murmured, "Their airducts are pretty tight; I like to have never gotten through them without changing my density. Of course then I ran the risk of phasing through the wall and landing right on my face, so it wasn't to enticing an option." She wondered how he would receive this news; would he reject her? Shun her for the admitted former theft? Call her all sorts of blasphemous things for turning to such a life style? It wasn't as if she'd had much of a choice - she had escaped her father with nothing but the clothes on her back, and they weren't much better than rags. With no chance at a job, no income, and no one to look after her, it had been a struggle to survive, and sometimes finding food had been all but impossible. She was glad she was were she was now, though, and thankful for his love and acceptance, though a part of her couldn't help but wonder....he didn't know all the bad things about her. All the broken things. All the dark things. And there was a small voice in her head that couldn't help whisper in her ears about the fact that he was sure to reject her should he find them out, though the very thought of it made her heart race with apprehension and fear, enticed her skin to break out in a chillingly cold sweat.

Welkin seemed to actualy not mind hearing the news that Leah had stolen clothes before. Welkin knew she would have done things to survive and was infact curious to hear about them but knew prying may upset her or dig in to memorys she would wish to leave buried. He rubbed her ears gently seeing as they were alone and Leah was getting herself all worked up and worried. He spoke quietly so only she would hear him "You dont have to worry about me suddenly rejecting you Leah.. Even more so over stealing some clothes... Honestly.. I dont think there is anything that couldmake me want to hate you or love you any less.." Welkin gave a warm smile helping to melt her thoughts of worrying and rejection wanting to help Leah feel as comfortable as she could while she was out here with him. "Lets grab some more shirts and a few other things. The sooner we get home the better" He smiles unknowingly being watched by an officer who had radioed in to Leon about the two from the bar a few days ago

This surprised her, and it no doubt showed by the way her body reacted. Her ears perked up, and her hands paused in their work of sorting through clothing, a few pairs of jeans already tossed over one arm as she balanced them with ease, a trait that all females seemed born to have. Her tail tip flickered as it curled ever so slightly, though not enough that it raised or fell over on itself as it normally did, her form stilling for a few seconds. Just until he rubbed her ears, at which point, she leaned back against him, her smaller, frailer frame fitting snugly back up into and against his own, her own slender hand coming up to clasp his as she brought it to her lips and kissed it softly, releasing a soft murmur of graditude in regards to his understanding, though underlining it was a gentle noise of pleasure at the sensation of his remaining hand at her ear, the female's chest collapsing as she breathed a soft sigh of relief at this revelation, this wonderfully life saving knowledge. As he nuzzled the side of her neck and then proceeded to give her the smile, Leah felt a bit of tension lift from her shoulders, and a slight unfurling of the weight that had been anchored in her chest, giving a small nod as the corner of her lip quirked up in the tiniest inklings of a half smile...or was it just Welkin's imagination? "What, no cargo pants now?" She teased him softly, her head resting against his chest for a brief moment, snorting in amusement as she attempted to picture herself in them, then gently shaking her head. "Nah, don't think I'd be one to rock that style." But his idea sounded like a good one, and she had to admit, it would be good to be home. Away from prying eyes. Taking his hand in her own once again, Leah nodded, and allowed him to lead the way over to the tops, biting her lower lip for a moment as she flinched - the birth mark was at it again, and it had been particularly nasty this time. Just when she'd relax and begin to forget about her troubles, and just what consequences or repercussions they could cause, there it went. Had to go and remind her. As the two began looking through the shirts in a quest to figure out which ones would suit the blue haired girl best, Leah began quietly, "The fear of your rejection wasn't the only thing bothering me...there's some kind of danger approaching us - quickly - and my powers are being wonky." It was an ominous and half completed statement, one that, should he have been given a second to consider it and contemplate its meaning, would have left him wondering what she meant about her powers, the danger, and her abilties being wonky. Wonky how? What kind of danger? How could she even know this? These things and more would have been first and foremost in his mind...had he not been tackled by a rather unobtrusive policeman who just happened to be tagging along behind them at that precise moment.

"What do you mean..? WonkYAaaaaa" Welkin let out a cry as he was tackled in to a clothing rack by the officer. Welkin not knowing who it was as the officer had remained silent this whole time caused him to fight back delivering a stinging elbow to the cops ribs stunning him long enough for him to snake behind him wraping one arm tightly around his neck the other drawing his pistol aiming at the other officer who had entered the store. Seeing that the man Welkin had a hold of and the man he was aiming at were both officers it confused him "Cops...?" The officer in his graps dare not move as leon drew his weapon and spoke "Easy pal we are here to just ask some questions"

Leah let out a surprised yip as the sudden flurry of movement exploded behind her, and since she and Welkin were standing so closely, she was knocked off balance for a moment or two as the world went haywire and the trio went flying - Welkin and the cop into a clothing rack, and Leah back onto her side. But she wasn't seriously hurt, and hearing the sound of fighting behind her, a fierce snarl escaped from her maw as she surged to her feet, tail rising and ears flattening, baseball cap lying abandoned on the floor, revealing to all around the electric vibrancy of her hair, and the snapping black dragonsthat were her eyes, the ivory curvature of her fangs glittering in the soft light of the store, her fingers curved into claws, clearly ready to throw herself into the fight, though not in the traditional sense. Instead of going to her mate's side and aid, as she knew he could fend for himself, she had planted herself squarely between him and the new officer, having been making her way toward the second "intruder" as soon as she caught sight of him, thinking she couldn't leave it all to Welkin, she wasn't some helples damsel in distress, though due to the presence of Leon's weapon, she'd had to pause, least she cause the sitaution to escalate unnecessarily - though it took no small amount of self control. Perhaps...no, it was too risky. Wasn't it? Her father could control it pretty well, but Leah had minimal training with her telekinetic abilities and wasn't sure she could handle them should she call upon the explosive force that was their power. Still, should Leon make a move or so much as put even a fraction of pressure upon that trigger, she wouldn't hesitate to try it. In fact, she'd be glad to send the bullet flying right back at him, buy both her and her husband some time to escape while their enemies sorted themselves out. A derisive snort left her lips as she growled, wisps of her long blue hair scraping against the fragile surface of her collar bone, knives glittering in her grasp as she kept her hands by her sides, the inky abyss that were her eyes watching Leon's every move, her voice, though soft and skeptical, as always, was quite dry and splitting in its tone, making it quite obvious concerning the topic of her displeasure. "Last I checked, randomly tackling someone doesn't fall under the category of 'just asking questions.'"

"He's new and didnt want you two to make a break for it if you saw him walking over. We saw the videotapes from the club and I just wanted to ask some questions. You let him go and we will put our weapons down." Leon spoke calmly.Leah had never seen him before and suspected he might actualy not be on her fathers payroll. But Leon did have the scent of her father on him. But the scent was different, off, as if it wasnt her father but was. Welkin stayed quiet still holding his gun to the hostage cops head "Leah.. Ive never seen this cop before... But... Something tells me he isnt lieing.... He moved so he was infront of Leah so if anything went down he would take the bullets for her and she could flee. He released the hostage yet stayed aiming at Leon untill Leon finnaly put his weapon away.

Alex walked into the place and glanced around the area. She sniffed the area and her ears perked up. She spotted Leah and Walkin and let out a breath " it's ok "she said softly stepping forward" he's with me "She said gently. Walkin and Leah could see she was turned recently and was surprisingly stronger as well as seeing how close she was to Leon she was his mate.

It was true that Leah had never seen Leon before - nor had she ever had the privelge of gleaning his scent, indicating he was most likely new here in town, but still, one couldn't be too careful, especially when dealing with a senator such as her father. Though she straightened, her ears remained flat, and the blades remained poised in her hands, weight balanced evenly upon her booted feet as her mate came alongside her, dark black eyes glancing his direction for a few seconds to see what he thought. She could feel the tension snapping in the air, crackling like a fine blanket of electricity, the aura of distrust still plain and evident upon the blue haired female's pretty features. His explanation made sense, but...so far, Welkin was the only person Leah had thus far trusted. She knew Alex, whose scent she had vaguely caught, though she figured it was just her imagination - they couldn't possibly know each other, could they? However, she didn't trust Alex too awful much, she'd only just met the woman, and only knew her because Leah had decided to do something uncharacteristic, and save the life of her kid brother in the street, then opted to do something practically unheard of for her, anyway, and ferry him home. That, to her, didn't equate to trust - she trusted Welkin, due to all they had been through together, and all they had shared, but it had taken time...and a great deal of effort, on his part, as he had tried so hard to get Leah to open up to him, no small feat by any means. And then there was another scent...one that, at first sniff, Leah thought to be her sire's, but after taking a second to process and analyze it, the girl could tell was slightly different. Not unlike her own. So how was it that Leon didn't work for dear old dad yet had such a smell on him? And if that was the case, how was it he could be trusted? How could that damned scent be so similar yet different? As far as she knew, she had no siblings, and the only one who had that particular reek had been her father. As Welkin moved in front of her, releasing the hostage and lowering his weapon while the officer did the same, Leah moved her hand so that it was entwined with his, squeezing it tightly while she murmured in return, "But he smells like my father. Or, at least, it's similar. Not quite like his, but not entirely different, either. Besides, just because he wants to ask questions doesn't mean he isn't working for my dear old dad." Her voice was quiet, her taunt form, pulled rigid and tight with the running tensions, wired and ready to go, to fly into either a fight or flee at a moment's notice, though Alex's sudden arrival startled her, and the younger female's ears flicked forward from the sheltered depths of her hair in surprise, her grip upon Welkin's hand tightening once more, not quite sure what to make of this development, this new turn of events.

Welkin held Leah's hand fimrly and pulled her slightly closer to him letting her know she wasnt alone in this. Lettign her take comfort that he was by her side and would fight to the death to protect her. And all around being the same sweetheart he had been to her since they met as he somehow always found a way to make her feel atleast some soft of comfort when he was by her side. Welkin took a breath and narrowed his eyes his ears perked foward and his tail held high "Where is the other member of your group" He asks, no.. more as if Welkin demanded the answer his voice nearly a snarl at them. He saw Alex and his disposition shifted a bit. It was however not out the window that Alex played them and was indeed working for her father.. He then spoke to leah his voice quiet and kind as always when he talked to her. "That scent.. It is your fathers but its not at the same time... its not coming from either of them..." He let her know, Welkin knew Leah would have quickly realised that on her own but he rather fuill her in and let them be on the same page as much as possible. Leon looked at Alex and then over to Lucas who had just entered the stoor "Lucas over here!" He called out to him to get his attention before looking back at welkin and Leah "We might have.. some surpriseing news for you both but first things first.. What are you doing with Leah why are you fighting so hard to protect her? Are you watching out for her because your working for the senator?" Leon asks. Which obviously pissed Welkin off quite a bit causeing him to let out a low growl useing up every ounce of his self control not to step foward and plant his fist in to Leon's face for what he just asked, Although if the situation was more calm Welkin would have figured Leon was just being cautious aboiut the situation by asking "I gave my life to protect her keeping her OUT of that mans grasp" He was about to say more untill Leah spoke as well (figured you would want her to give them a whole earfull of explitives from what Leon just asked xD)

Leah permitted him to pull her closer to him, the distrust still in her eyes when it came to the officers and their presence, despite the fact that Alex was there, or that by the closeness she portrayed to Leon, that the two of them were apparently mates. Mates could lie. It wasn't an ideal option, and Leah didn't think she'd ever lie to Welkin, or that he would ever do such to her, but it wasn't that way with every couple, and the sixteen year old knew that, even at her scant age. Leah took comfort from the fact that Welkin was simply there - he had no idea how reassuring it was that he was simply by her side, and that he hadn't left her to face this alone, as she had been doing for so many of those long years, not sure when or how her next life would end, or the severity the beating this day would be. Though she knew the scent was different, and not an exact copy of her sire's, the soothing notes of his voice were more than welcome to her fragile young ears, and she remained by his side as he raised his vocal chords in demand to know who the final member of the trio was and, more importantly, just why they smelled so like the Cothern family. As far as Leah knew there were no others, not besides her and her father, unless her long lost mother happened to show up. Though Leah held no great love for her, either. The woman had left her to her father's abuses from the delicate age of birth, and that sin was not something Leah was very sure she could forgive, even if the woman whom had both carried and brought her into this world were to someday appear in the teenager's life once again. The snarl was something Leah hadn't often heard in her mate's voice, and she marveled at its tones, so deep and rich in their inflection, so absolute in their thirst for knowledge and the consequences should those demands not be met. However, Leah couldn't help but be a bit curious when they called out to the third party who'd entered, what, from a distance, appeared to be a young boy just a few years older than Leah herself, though he was considerably taller. And a great deal more muscled, judging by the build he carried, not that Leah cared. She had her mate, and her one true love, and she wasn't ever going to about trading him willy nilly for another. Her loyalty ran deep. Leah's brow furrowed as Leon prattled on, mentioning something about "surprising news" though she couldn't fathom why that would be, and she curled her lip in distaste, not liking having their own questions put off, or the answers to them dangled right in front of them with no real end or solid explanation. However, his implication that Welkin would ever dare to hurt her, or that he would imply she could not manage even a feeble escape should things have been different and roles reversed, angered Leah to no end, and she immediately felt her fur bristle, the tail behind her curling more pristinely up and over itself as she raised it, ears flattening into the protective layers of her skull once more, lips peeling back as she snarled, dark eyes flashing like snapping daggers, the remaining blade held within her hand glimmering in the dim shop's light, her voice, though whisper soft as always, a bit morbid in tone, and by no means gentle or light, instead, it's notes were fairly harsh and snapping. As if she could almost picture ripping her fangs into the tender white flesh of his neck, or perhaps she was even dreaming of taking his tongue right from his head for such a blasphamous thought, taking a particular dislike to such an accusation. "Excuse me? What, do you think I'd just be running around with a kidnapper of my own discretion? After what they've done to me?" She snorts derisively at the mere notion of the idea, the hold she held upon Welkin's hand tightening ever more in the fanning fires of her anger, knuckles blanching white as she gripped his own limb close to her own, feeling his own ire beginning to rise, and knowing that it took no small amount of effort for Welkin to keep his feet planted where they were, and to halt himself from lunging forward to tear into this upstart officer a new one. "Furthermore, I wouldn't require a kidnapper's protecting, now would I? That would be more along the lines of false imprisonment. But as a police officer, I'm sure you already knew that."

Lucas entered the shop shortly after Alex and Leon, having been held up for a split second by another officer, one who had questioned his right to be there, but figuring out Lucas had actually been asked here by the cop who was investigating the entire case, the younger male had eventually been let through, though he was a bit confused as to their surroundings when he entered the clothing store - the commotion was going on near the back, and with a flick of his ears at the sound of his name, Lucas scampered over, tucking his hands into his pockets as he approached the others, a volatile mixture of emotions assualting his sensitive empathic abilities, causing the young male to wince as he bit his tongue, wondering just what it was he was supposed to do or where he fit in - he wasn't sure if this girl really was his sister, and even if she were, what was he going to say to her? "Hi, sorry I left you in Dad's clutches, didn't realize you existed?" Yeah, that was going to work. Real well. His own dark black eyes were trained on his boots, the boy seeming shy and sweet, not at all the type to get into trouble and be here, in the middle of this mess, but, in the end, his presence was only required because he was, in essence, trying to help, even if it was in an odd, roundabout way that didn't much make sense to an onlooker when one stopped to examine it. But the snarls, the sheer fury, and the tension...it twisted his stomach in knots, causing the young boxer to shake his head and roll his shoulders in an attempt to free himself of the burden each presented in its own right, lifting his gaze for the first time as he appeared by Alex and Leon's respective sides, his mere presence enough to cause the snapping words that danced across the air from Leah's mouth to falter and die, and a hushed air to ensue as each eyed the other, staring at one another as if in disbelief. It was clear that Lucas was indeed, her brother, and clearly, a Cothern. He had all the traits. The lean build. The blue hair, though his was an off tone. The dancing black eyes, though his held a softer, gentler light to them than the sparking barriers that were Leah's own. The pale skin tone. The scent. So similar, yet so different in its own right. Its own way. Lucas, however, was clad in a black tank top and cargo pants of the same hue, boots adorning his feet, though they were nowhere near the agile style that Leah herself held, more of the combat variety, not that Lucas tended to get into fights much outside the ring. The ears upon his head swiveled forward as he met his sister's gaze for the first time, a soft smile lighting his face a second later, the silver dog tag gleaming on his chest in the faint light of the store, his tail, red and white in a lemur pattern rising in a friendly wave, as if oblivious to the threat of a fight in the air. In reality, Lucas was anything but. If anything, he was highly aware of it - after all, fighting is what he did for a living, as evidenced by the bandages tied about his hands and wrapped around his fingers and knuckles, seen when he lifted his hand in a jaunty wave. He just didn't think accusations or gawking disbelief on his part would help anything, and hoped that a softer approach might do the trick. Earn some trust. Gain some confidence. "Hi," he whispered softly, dark eyes flicking to Welkin once or twice as the elder male growled, "I'm Lucas...Lucas Cothern. And I guess, I'm your brother. You...You look like Mom."

Alex listened to what was going on and sighed. the thought of their father showing up upset her and she strongly disliked the guy and would tear the creep to peices if given a chance. How he treated his kids was wrong. she put her hand around Leon's arm gently. she glanced over at Lucas and then over to leah. She wondered how the girl would react to the news of having a brother.

Welkin's ears perked slightly as the dark and angry sound of his growl died out as Lucas stepped foward and spoke. His pistol still gripped by his free hand which hung idly by his side while the other was entwined in Leahs own. How was this possible? Was it true? Or was it some sort of sick joke or cruel trap for Leah to fall in to. Welkin didnt trust it, not yet atleast. And lucas should know they would need more then just his word to convince them. Perhaps if his father left a certain scar on both of them. Or if he would speak their mothers name, or something that would prove he was in the same house she was tortured in for all those years. Welkin was the first to speak after Lucas his voice soft, unsure of the sutiation "Leah... Is... He?" He asks unsure if she knew either. Welkin honestly expected her to snap at him in anger or such shouting out that he is a liar. And right now being so unsure of the situation he would loyaly back up whichever decision his mate took. For if she accepted it, denyed it, or questioned it he would agree as he purely didnt know. They had similar family scents but someone couldnt just rely on smell alone. If he really was her brother he would have to show some more proof then his scent atleast.. He gripped his mate's hand more firm letting her know if they tried anything he was right there with her to protect her. His display of protection over Leah could perhaps be picked up by Lucas if he noticed which ment he would have to earn both Leah's and Welkins trust which wouldnt be easy. Welkin looked from Leah back to Lucas and the others. Leon stood by watching them. He looked down as Alex snaked her arm around him causeing himt o smile just a bit and relax a bit. Although he was stll worried, things could go bad at any moment after all

Site Owner Posts: 550 | Leah opened her mouth in disbelief, then closed it, the already whspering soft notes of her voice dying out completely, aparently at a loss for what to say. A brother? She had no brother...yet here the wee, standing face to face for the first time. There was another wo had shared her pain? Who had suffered the same vile treatment at the hands of her father? Who could relate to just what it was she was gong through or how hard it was to survive beyond their father's hellish laws? The idea was almost to much to bare, the implications staggering. She took a small step back from where she had so boldly strode forward just seconds ago, shrinking away from this supposed sibling, and all the novel ideas he now represented, almost as if she were afraid. Leah bumped into Welkin then, startling as she jumped a bit, but, feeling the firm grip of his hand, seeing the gentle, loving look in his warm brown eyes, the blue haired fae calmed, taking a deep breath before turning her attention back to her supposed sibling. Though her mate was as stunned as she, the fae could sense his level of support, lurking just beneath the questioning. "I...I don't know," she responded to his asking tone softly, resisting the urge to curl her tail about her leg. It had fallen from its rally of curving dominance considerably. "I never knew of a brother." Leah wanted nothing more than to turn and bury her face into Welkin's chest, to let him make it all go away, but alas, there was nothing of that sort she could do. Not here. Not yet. However, Lucas' mention of their mother brought her snapping back into the air of cold, harsh reality. There was no mother for her, nor had there ever been, of her own free choice no doubt, and the comparison of Leah to their dam made her suddenly furious. The head snapped up from where she had dipped her chin slightly, and the tail rose into position once more, her body pulling taut and rigid. "What did you just dare to say?" She asked softly, dangerously. "Who did you just compare me to?" Upon Lucas's resounding answer, Leah threw herself forward, releasing Welkin's hand as she lunged, tackling her brother roughly into the floor, the tiny structure of her fist gliding upon the sensitive surface of his face, bruising the tender flesh, staining it a beaten, bloody red. "Never compare me to her!"

Welkin went wide eyed for a moment as Leah sprang foward out of his grasp as she launched her fury fueled assult at her brother before he himself sprang foward becoming a blur as he rushed to get ahold of Leah as he fearfully thought to himself Please dont shoot her Welkin wrapped one arm around her slender waist the other catching her arm as it cocked back to deliver a second blow to the bruised face of her supposed brother. Welkin picked Leah completely up off of her brother hoping the sudden movement of her being lifted off the ground didnt startle her too much. Welkin didnt think about Leah perhaps being surprised thinking it was perhaps the cop or his mate attempting to restrain and arrest her. If she didnt know it was him she would fight back and Welkin didnt expect her to resist him pulling her off that much thus leaving his face open if she were to swing her free arm back which would easily cause her elbow to smash in to his unprotected face. Welkin spoke as he hauled her off of her brother "Leah stop it! please!" He pleaded as he set her feet back to the ground wraping his arms around her refuseing to let go. He had managed to spin her around so she was facing him as he pulled her in to a comforting hug hoping that he would be able to defuse her anger before she did anythign worse to her brother. Welkin's eyes shot a glance to Leon and was releived to see he hadnt drawn his weapon again. Welkin held Leah firmly in his arms yet so gently, attempting to do what he always ended up doing, comforting his mate. "Please Leah...You got your lick in, please.." He gently pleaded with her before realiseing how hipocritical it must have sounded coming from him, a man who had not 24 hours ago beat another man to death turning his skull in to a mess of blood brain and bonefragments. Leon had went to get Leah off of her brother but was surprised at how Welkin was on her within a second or two after she sprung foward on to him. He went over quickly and helped Lucas stand up unsure if he was okay or if Leah had managed to really hurt him. "Lucas, are you alright?" He asks as he got him standing and made sure he wouldnt topple over

Alex blinked seeing Leah lunge at Lucas like that and swallowed. She raised a brow and wondered what would have caused her to react like that.

Site Owner Posts: 550 | "She left me! You know that?! She abandoned me in that hellish place, at the mercy of my sorry excuse for a father, hoping that I'd die by his hand. And if you're my brother, then she left you too!" Leah snarled, her voice cracking as it rose to heights it had thus remained unused to, shaking in its volume of sheer emotion. She snapped at Welkin as he snatched her up, twisting about with a rumbling growl, her ears flattening against her skull, fangs flashing in the dim store light even as her elbow came back, colliding with his abdomen and rib cage since she wasn't quite tall enough to reach his face, kicking out with her feet as she instinctively flailed, terror pounding through her heart for a second as she did not know who it was that held her. "Let me go!" She snarled, blue hair falling about her face and shoulders in loose strands, having fallen free from the hap hazard pony tail she'd wrapped it up in. Though try as she might, the young fae's efforts and struggles were purely in vain, as she became securely pinned by his arms, unable to break free from the security of his embrace. But she tried, oh how she tried. At last, however, her efforts were exhausted, and she had no choice but to submit to his wishes, no choice but to give into his desires, unable to further resist. Leah trembled within the protective embrace that was Welkin's arms, one hand half heartedly attempting to push him away once more, but finding that not even that was working, Leah was left with the only alternative of curling her fist into his shirt as he pulled her close, burying her face into his chest as he held onto her, murmuring gentle words of comfort as she continued to shudder, shivering helplessly in hopeless disappointment, the murky mires of depression. It was to much, it was just all to much, and Leah wasn't sure just how much more she could bare, or for how much longer she could cope.
