Lucas let out a surprised grunt as she tackled him, not having expected such a volatile reaction from the creature that was supposed to be his younger sister. Though the blow was powerful, even more so because he had been taken by complete and utter surprise, Lucas was not very badly damaged and most certainly not very shaky. Just more astonished than anything. Though it was true their mother had disappeared, Lucas had never once believed the woman had abandoned them - she had been much too kind and loyal for that. But he could see that Leah wouldn't believe him, at least not right now, and not quite yet. And why should she? The two of them had been raised in darkness, and as such their trust levels had suffered - Leah more so than Lucas, by the looks of it. Or so it would seem. He gratefully took Leon's hand as the officer aided him in rising to his feet, murmuring a small word of thanks after assuring him that Lucas himself was alright. Turning his gaze back onto his sister, Lucas felt his ears guiltily lower, blaming himself for her upsetting outburst, and the emotional agony she was in. Though he dared not approach - she might decide to hit him again - he murmured softly, quietly, "Leah, is it?" Receiving confirmation at a nod from Leon, Lucas continued, "Leah, I'm sorry. I didn't realize the two of you weren't on good terms. I thought you knew her...or at least vaguely remembered her. I didn't know she was gone before you could." He would have liked to argue the point further, by reiterating that the mother he knew wouldn't have just up and left them, but he could see now was not the time. And should he perhaps press the issue, the blue haired male could tell that Welkin might then press the issue in return - it was quite clear to Lucas that the dark hairedman was fairly protective of Leah. And judging by the way he was currently holding her, Lucas knew them to be mates. The younger boxer lifted a hand to his face, feeling the bruise and testing the lip - which Leah had apparently busted, his fingertips coming back with a light coating of blood and a slight wince. "You sure know how to hit though."

Welkin kept his eyes on Lucas andLeon before looking at Leah making sure she was okay greatful she hadnt flailed too much and didnt catch his face with her elbow. He spoke gently to Leah hoping to calm her further then his embrace would "Leah.. I know your pissed and I know you dont trust them.. We will be outta here and back home in no time okay?" He rubbed her back gently letting her know once she was home she could let out all of her feelings to him like she did before. he turned his attention to them and asked "Besides wanting to find out if she really was your sister.. what else did you want from us?"

Alex bit her lip and listened to them speak. She leaned back against the wall and sniffed the air. She was still getting use to the being able to smell everything so clearly. She looked at them and could tell they were related from their scent. like she could tell Shia and Leon were related.

Leah didn't answer him, instead merely tightening her fist in his shirt as she buried her nose and face deeper into the recesses of his chest, trembling pathetically now in his arms, her shivering form evoking a chord of sympathy, especially once Welkin felt the wetness that had begun to stain his shirt - it could only be one thing: Leah's tears. She was crying? One might not have even known she was capable of it, she was usually so hateful and closed off. Appearing so confident and strong, so defiant, and despite the terrible upbringing she'd had, full of life, if not love. More of a shattered, broken disposition that looked upon the grim gloom of the world and knew it for what it was, but most certainly not ever anything akin to the action of giving up, or the emotion of despair, though she had come close to crossing the threshold from frustration and hate into a spiraling void of darkness on more than one occassion. But Welkin had never seen that - and as far as Leah was concerned, he never would. She would keep it from him, lock away that darkness inside of her and smother it out with her antisocial nature, the one that relied so heavily upon him and his attentions, as he had become the one, and only one, that she absolutely and positively trusted. As evidenced by the fact that she was now crying on him, though her weeping was quiet, save for the shudders, which one could attribute to fear or a sensation of being overwhelmed, and not a single other person in this room would know that she had shed them. Only Welkin. Only Welkin. In part, she was crying because of the tenderness he showed her even in spite of everything, and the way he supported her, and, another reason was the sheer magnitude of it all - she no longer knew what to do. Who to believe. Where to turn. Whom she could trust. So far? There was only one thing she was completely sure of, and he was the only living being in corporal form that the broken girl had any sort of faith at all in. Only Welkin.

Welkin was at first struck speechless as Leah tightened her hold on his shirt. Within mere moments however his arms rested gently wrapped around her. One lay around her shoulders wraping from her left to her right his hand resting on the backside of her shoulder, the second a bit lower wrapped around the small of her back and waist. He brought his hand from her shoulder to the back of her head gently caressing her ears he found hiding blending in to her unmistakeable blue hair as he comforted her. Then his voice came through. Soft and very gentle. "Its okay Sweetheart its okay.... Let it all out im here" He spoke so softly to her as he refused to let her go or let anything tear him away from her. He didnt mind her tears getting his shirt wet, He didnt mind her crying and him having to hold her like this at all, infact he was happy.. Happy he was here to comfort her like this, happy it would bring the two even more closer. Welkin reconised and cherished the special relationship they had. He knew how hard Leah's trust was to earn first hand and would do everything to never break it. He would always be there even if cost him evey one of his lives. He shot a glance to the others and wished they could just go home. He was the most curious about Lucas however and wanted to hear more, if leah was okay with it

Leah shivered all the harder as he tucked his arms about her shuddering form, curling all the more tightly into the heating warmth of his embrace. It took a lot to make her cry, a great deal of pain and heartbreak, and as long as Welkin had known her, she had never even come close to shedding tears, but now it seemed as if she might not ever stop. Mentioning her mother did that to her, as Leah had deep seated issues with the absence of her maternal figure, almost as many as she had with her sire. It was several minutes before she calmed enough for conversation to continue with the blue haired fae's attention, that was, though Welkin could still pay close attention should he so desire. Leah however wasn't exactly in the best of moods.

Welkin still held Leah close even after she stopped crying. All he wanted to do was to leave with Leah and head back home. They had yet to purchase their food however and he would make that task go buy as quickly as possible. Was this all Lucas had to say? It didnt seem like he was too happy to know he had a sister and that she survived his fathers torture. Welkin paid Leon and Alex little attentuon as he was focused on comforting Leah and hearing what else Lucas had to say. If he was her brother he had to have wen tthrough what her father put her through as well.. And his father must be after him as well which could make him and his friends allys in the fights against the senator

Alex frowned seeing she was upset and sighed. She glanced at Leon like maybe we should let her calm down and maybe catch up another time?. She knew from experance that when someone is upset they wouldn't be in the best mood to talk about stuff. She glanced over at Lucas and then glanced over at them. Her eyes showed that she felt for them and wanted to help in some way.

Lucas blinked, watching as Welkin comforted her, his ears lowering slowly as he realized she did not trust him - though he couldn't really blame her. Not after the hell both of them had went through. Upon Welkin's continued glances towards him Lucas shook himself from his stupor of wishing he could draw closer to Leah. He wanted to get to know her. He wanted to figure out who his sister was, but realized now was not the time. She was too upset, too distrusting. His own black eyes were glimmering with unshed sorrow and guilt - he should have been there. He should have known. He should have gotten her out of this mess. "We wanted to find out what your connection to Leah was, so we could determine whether or not she was safe..." He paused for a second, biting his lip, pondering how to word this. "We're also going after the senator...our father, at least by blood. We wanted to help take him down for good...so he can't hurt anyone else." His voice was soft, calm. Evenly toned, though his own emotions, and those of the people around him, were anything but.

"If.. Your really planning to do that...Why did you leave her behind to suffer...? Did... you know she existed..?" Wekin asks before going back to rubbing Leah's ears as she pressed deeper in to his embrace. He didnt like how this was hurting her and wished he could just scoop her up and get out of there as soon as possible. He was worried it would be too much for her. After this last question he would try to get her out of there quickly as possibly grabbing some food on the way home as fast as possible then just holding Leah close for the rest of the day making sure she wouldnt shed any more tears

Lucas was silent for a minute, which was more than enough to answer Welkin's question, but after a moment he replied softly, "No. I didn't. And judging by her reaction she wasn't aware of me either. Had I known, I would have gotten her out of there. As it is, Im glad she's with you; I...I can tell you care."

Welkin rubbed her back gently "Listen... If your really against the senator then weneed your help just like you need ours... If we all work together there is no way we can loose... But we have to trust eachother first... And right now.. Its just not a good time.." He paused for a moment "Officer, you wouldnt happen to have a pen and pad?" He asks which leon actually had and lent to Welkin who quickly scribbled some stuff down tore the note off the pad then passed the pad to Leon and the note to Lucas. All while not going more then an arms lenght from Leah, or perhaps keeping her securely tucked in his embrace moving only slightly. Not knowing what else to say he simpally turned with Leah and headed out of the store with her after paying for the clothes. He kept her figure tucked in his embrace "Would.. you like to head home now? We could go food shopping later and have some takeout.." He murmers softly to her not wanting to put her through any more stress. although he wasnt sure walking through a supermarket would be stressful or not.

Leah took a deep breath as they walked out, murmuring softly in her quieter whisper thin voice, "Home." She wanted to be strong enough to take it, she wanted to be powerful enough to shake it off and go on about her normal day. But she just wasn't. Maybe in time. Perhaps later. But not now. Not now.

The note Lucas had was simple. A few numbers which was most likely a phone and another string of numbers Which with a little thinking was gps corrodinates probably to where he lived. Welkin wanted to be as carefull as possible and didn't know if the senator used security cameras in stores or had goons in disguise across the city

Alex nodded gently and then glanced at Lucas" you heading back to your place or would you like to come and hang out with us for a little bit? maybe together we can kinda think and talk about plans and get something to eat as well? "She asked and glanced at Leon for a moment.

Lucas watched them go, sighing as his sister, and only blood relative, he had left. Besides his sire, whom he didn't really count. His ears were lowered, and the expression upon his face a quieter, sorrowful one. Alex's voice startled him out of this, however, and he blinked as he looked back at her. After a moment's consideration, he shakes his head, responding softly, "No, I think I'll go to the gym. Work out for a bit to clear my head."

Leon frowned a bit and spoke up before he left "Lucas. I know you might be thinking its your fault but dont be hard on yourself.. there is no way you could have known..." He added as he moved a bit closer to Alex hoping her little brother and his sister were doing alright. "Do you want a lift there?" He offers

Alex nodded gently and gave a gentle smile as she leaned back against Leon. She looked up at Leon before looking back over at Lucas wondering if he'd accept the ride.

Lucas paused in his stride as Leon spoke to him, murmuring quietly, "I know...but still. I knew my father's habits. I knew his routines. The darkness concerning his desires. I should have realized." It was true - Lucas felt guilty. But he wasn't going to let it consume him. At the offer of a ride, he softly shook his head. "Nah, thanks anyway. I'll swing by later. Safety in numbers, right?" Now that Lucas was involved, he wasn't sure if his father would resume the hunt for him or not. Probably so, knowing him.
