"Um...if a tiny little cave that only fits one tiny pup is home, sure. But she doesn't have a mom and I couldn't just l-" She was cut off as Kaz tackled her, and rolled over with little more than a yelp of surprise, bouncing back up onto her paws with a bewildered gaze upon her face, ears pricking, one flipped inside out, jaws dropping open at the sight of the blade embedded in the bark of the tree. At his question, hwr green eyes cleared, and the teen snapped her head around to regard Kaz with a rather piffed look, lips curling slightly in aggravation as she snapped, "Yeah, but I don't know where she is! I told you that already, wewe're lost!" In truth, her frustration was born more from fear and terror than anything else, but it was still surprising that she could snap so violently - her nornal personality was much more chipper and loving.

Kaz was surprised she snapped that way at him. He figured she would atleast know the area she and her mother were staying at. Having no idea what to say he just frowned a bit before finnaly speaking "Ill help you find her then, we are in the city park and we really dont have much longer to stay here before more show up.

"Well, we were nowhere near the city," Anja informs him primly, flipping her ear back the way its supposed to be and shaking the gleaming surface that was her fur out. "We were somewhere in the lands. Off the mountains, I think. Actually, I've never been in a city before." Anja rambles on, seeming to ignore his observation regarding the fact they should go soon, beginning to trot off back the way they had come. "The pack we used to be with wouldn't take me to the city with them, either. Thought it'd be too dangerous, what with the bounty on their heads." She paused at the edge of the woods, glancing back at the two with her ears partly lowered, and an apologetic look upon her pretty teenaged face. "Sorry I snapped...to be fair I've never had a knife thrown at me before." She turned back to the woods then, tail lifting and ears swiveling forward, going on merrily, "But if we go back the way we came, I'm sure I can find my mom."

"Ill head along with you then. But... we are right near the city.. see?" He pointed to the buildings jutting over the trees just a bit in the opposite direction. he had no idea why she was so sure she was in the mountain area.. it was pretty clear to him they were in a city park, He even went throught one of the gates from the city to get here but he wasnt going to start a fight. "Hey its alright, i know that wouldnt be on your list of pleasnt things to have happen to you, Im just lucky it missed both of us

Anja glanced over at the skyline he indicated, pricking her ears in curiosity at what he explaining, noting that it was indeed the city they were closer to at the moment, but that wasn't really what she had meant. She was saying her mother was staying in the mountains, the protective female having believed it better to keep her gullible child as far from the cityline as possible, thus Anja's quest to return to the mountains. "Pretty," she commented before hopping off of the cement and into the earthy area that was the beginnings of the forest, continuing on, "We'll have to come back later." Glancing over her shoulder witha chipper wag of her tail, Anja continued, "Come on, Snow! We're going home now, wouldn't want you to get too lost." As if that hadn't already happened.

Kaz grabbed his large dufflebag and slung it over his shoulder as he followed them hoping it wouldnt be a terribly long trip up the mountains. "So, mind telling me about yourself? Its a pretty long walk and walking there the whole way in silence would make it a real drag" Kaz spoke as he walked alongside the smaller female. He wondered if her mother would be as distrusting as Anja was due to his direwolven blood.

Anja was prancing along on her four paws now, almost as if she were dancing to some unknown beat in her head, apparently happy and unphased by the tragic event that was her near death now that she'd had a moment to process and absorb, her tail up and waving, the light blue markings placed along her pelt as beautifully crafted highlights glimmering in the soft light that filtered through the branches of the trees, humming some catchy tune underneath her breath, green eyes closed as she danced, apparently in rythm in the midst of her head, but looking a bit....well, dorky, in real life, when one took a glance at her in reality. Upon hearing the lower key tones of his voice, she paused, midstep, a cute little habit of hers it would seem, and glanced over her shoulder, fangs flashing white in a smile as the waving plume of her tail wagged. It looked a bit scruffy, almost as if she either didn't properly take care of it, or she hadn't fully grown into it yet. But that little fact didn't seem to bother her - in fact, not much really did. "Sure!" The young female chirped, "But you might wanna ask some questions for direction, 'cause I warn you now, otherwise, I'll tell you the whooooolllllleeeee long history. And trust me, you don't wanna know all of that."

Kaz gave a small shrug and ended up walking along side of her now after catching up from getting his bags earlier "I dont mind hearing all of it. Besides its better then walking in silence the whole way there so why not?" He looked down at her wondering how odd the two looked walking together. He kept his ears perked up and alert incase some other lowlife tried to disterb them as they walked in the direction of Anja's mothers house.

She raised a brow, the grin upon her slender white maw widening as she chuckled, bouncing on ahead as she yipped, "Alright, but remember you asked for it!" The little fae paused as she half turned upon the path, cocking her head to the side as she began, "I was born on a stormy day in the winter - Mom said she'd never seen such an icy haze before! - in some bounty hunter pack or other. I don't remember the name. But anyway, Mom could tell right away I was gonna be a fire brat, something about how I was radiating heat even in the middle of a land of snow, so she gave me a fitting name. Anja. Now she'd wandered away from the pack to have me, so she was a bit worried about whether or not we were gonna survive, so she spent 3 days in the cave where she'd hidden to give birth before our pack found us and brought us back home. Took two whole days just for the storm to pass! Can you believe it? It was a doozy, haven't seen the likes of one since. Some say it was an omen and I was supposed to grow into some great warrior, but let me tell ya, I'm not too good when it comes to fighting - I have spindly legs that get in my way, and then there's just the fact that I virtually suck at it. I'm much better at burning things, setting stuff on fire, or...what was that other one?" Where Anja had been skipping along ahead in her lupine figure once more, her sweet, higher pitched tone of voice echoing about the path they currently followed, she now stopped once again, tipping her head the other way as if in thought, tail forming a curly q of a question mark over her back. "Oh yeah!" She instantly brightened, almost as if she had won the lottery. As if she even knew how to play the lottery. "Tracking stuff. Got a good nose and sense of direction, Mom says I get that from her. She used to be something called a tracker, see? Said she lived in VolcanoPack a long time ago. Won't tell me why she left though - I get the feeling it's painful for her, so I don't ask much. Only when I'm really, really curious, and there's nothing else to do. Where was I? Oh, that's right! I was telling you about me. And my birth. And my powers and stuff. I was always into some kind of trouble, couldn't keep my paws out of the interesting stuff Mom said I was too young for. Snuck into pack meetings, heard some stuff about killing, capturing, taking prisoners, and a bunch of other gibberish before Mom noticed me and kicked me out. After that I never could sneak back into those, so I'd leave camp instead. Found a bear once. With cubs. She was not a happy camper, let me tell you. Chased me all the way to the gorge, which was a reeeeaaalllyyy deep scar in the earth of our pack's territory. No idea how it got there. Anyway, I had to hide in one of it's caves until she was calm enough to give up and go away. Though Mom was gonna kill me that time - she was so mad when I got back! I'm pretty sure the white parts of her pelt turned red and her eyes were like emerald chips of ice." A shiver ran down Anja's back as she pictured it, and she made a sour face. "Not something I wanna see again. Mom is super scary when she's mad."

Surpriseingly like most of her other audiences Kaz didnt seem to be annoyed at her storytelling finding it quite ironic she had gotten lost dispite her tracker bloodline. And perhaps more surpriseing to Anja was the fact he actualy paid attention and asked questions when she finished. "Which pack was your mother in after she fled Vocano pack? and didnt you say she lives alone? What happened to make her leave?" (excuse me if i mixed that up xD She was in volcano then ran away got found by the merc pack and had anja there then left that pack right?) He followed keeping up with her except for when she would go ahead and increase her pace for a moment or two.

(She just kinda left Volcano to clear her head, but other than that, you got it! ;)) Anja was a bit taken aback that he was paying attention, something she expressed by twisting around in the path and leaping back towards him, leaping up to tackle him and send him flying back into the dust upon his back, her face an endearing grin as her tongue lolled out and she swiped it across his face, her tail a mad sensation of wagging air while she beat the air before her, ears pricking as she listened to his questions, though she first chirped, "Hey, you're listening! That's awesome - most people just ignore me and pretend to be paying attention after a couple seconds." Dancing back off of him and plopping down on the path to appropriately scratch an itch on her shoulder, Anja tipped her head while she thought, scrunching up the nose anchored along her slender muzzle as she did so, apparently searching her memory banks for the answers he so sought. "She didn't flee Volcano, exactly. She just left. Said she had to clear her head. Though I don't know the name of the pack she ended up in. It escapes me at the moment. She could tell you. I might recall it later too. But yep, since she left my birth pack - I dunno why, I guess cause I'm almost old enough to be an apprentice and she didn't want any of the guys training me - we've been living alone. She's somewhat cranky here lately though. Guess she doesn't like the idea of it just being the two of us. I've always been in a group; and all my uncles loved to play with me. Didn't matter what it was or how tired they were; they'd always be up for a game of tag or hide and go seek. Being the only pup in a pack is hard, cause there's no one else to play with that's your size - everybody's bigger than you, did you know that? And even now, look at me, I'm still not that big, and I'm almost an adult!" She stood, puffing her chest proudly as she lifted one paw and crested her tail, delightedly proclaiming, "Mom says I'm now a tween, which is almost a teen, which means I'm almost a grown up! Isn't that exciting?" She bounced on her toes in circles around him as he sat up, stopping in front of his face and tilting her head the other way as he reached back and began to rub his head. "Hey, are you alright? And why are you still on the ground? I didn't push you that hard."

Kaz rubbed the slightly sore spot on the back of his head as he got up his cheeks a slight tinge of red wondering if Anja herself realised she had given him the wolven equivalent of a kiss just a few seconds ago. "Im fine just didnt expect you to be so happy i listened. I take it people ignore you..? Thats really not nice.." He frowns knowing she could get on some peoples nervs but didnt find her to be annoying like others did

"Uh...." Anja looked sheepish then as she stepped back, ears going half back and her tail standing at an awkward transition, though it wasn't due to the fact she realized that she had just done the equivlant of a Wolven kiss, more like a touch of embarrassment. As if she didn't want to particularly admit this. Her cheeks were a light blush of rose red, and her eyes were trained on a nearby tree off of the side of the path, though her face was towards his own, one paw lifting to rub her opposite leg as she searched for words, responding, "Well...yes and no. While it's true that most people stop listening after a couple of seconds 'cause I apparently ramble, they don't exactly ignore me. I just....don't...get...to meet that many of them?" There was a painful smile upon her maw, her front teeth visible as if she were not too thrilled to be admitting this, then lowering her head a bit as she continued, in a much softer voice, "Mom keeps us kinda isolated. Says its for protection. Normally keeps me home too. This is the first time I've been out in...." She furrowed her brow, glancing up at the sky, mouth moving as she counted, tipping her head first one way and the other as she did so. She was one that could not stay still. "3 months? I think. Not sure, I'm not that great with time. Anyway, onward!" With that, she turned back around, climbing a rather large boulder standing guard along the path before leaping off of it, spreading out her legs as if she were going to do a belly flop in a pool before correcting herself at the last instant. It was clear she spent quite a lot of time alone.

"Hold on.. Three months..? I can understand why she would be protective but thats going pretty far... Do you know why she does that?" He asks again walking along side of her. He understood anja seemed a bit loopy or even too innocent to be exposed to the harshness of the real world but he had assumed she atleast knew not to hop in free candy vans and such. (not literaly he means that as in not to be overly trusting xD) He still was a but embarrased and wondered if Anja even picked up on what she did. He wondered what her mother was like as well and wondered how she would react to her walking to her house with a direwolven carrying some large duffle bags.(were we going to have anja and kaz together at one point right? i dont really remember xD)

(We were still debating XD) Anja turned her head sideways when he offered such a suggestion, even while walking along the path - which was not a good idea. At least not for her, seeing as she was rather clumsy. She ended up tripping over her own paws, voice cutting out even as she uttered, "Nah, not - Ooooooof!"

"Im okay!" She chirped in response, bouncing back easily when he helped her up. "I trip a lot, so this is nothing new. Anyways, I was saying that I think Mom's just being cautious. All the Wolven hate and such."

Anja was humming to herself once more as she waltzed along, apparently once again chipper and carefree. Upon hearing his question she looked back at him, flashing a grin as she chirped, "Nah, it won't matter if you're a Dire Wolven. She attacks any male that comes near me. Last time she just about ripped Uncle Tom's throat out before I called her off and she realized it was him. Don't worry though - Im sure I can reason with her much quicker this time."
