(Shall they arrive?) Kaz frowned a bit wondering why exactly she was like that "Shes really protective of you.. I just hope i dont have to well.. hurt her... I gotta defend myself somehow.. right? Is there any way you would reccomend it?" He asks unsure how he would handle it. for all he knew she could be a dire as well and try to kill him. But if she was small and harmless like anja he figured he would just hold her off till anja calmed her down. He woulnd hurt her unless she was about to kill him

(Works for me X3 I can't wait for Anala to tackle Kaz to the ground and snarl in his face, lol) "Oh, you'll be fine. As big as you are, I'm sure you can keep her muzzle away from her throat for a few seconds. Of course, it might help if you yell, 'I'm only bringing her back!'....Or something like that. Then again, might not. Depends on what mood she's in. But, hey, you've got some extra lives, right? You know, just in case." Anja looked up at him, tilting her head in that innocent, naive way she had, and it was clear she was trying to joke, to lighten up the mood and make him feel better, even if it was a very poor attempt and not really....well, all that humorous. The truth was, Anala's protective nature of a mother was all that Anja had ever known - sure, she'd known the males of their pack, but her mother wouldn't really let them be around her alone, or unsupervised very often, and never for extended periods of time. Why, the pup didn't really know, but then again, she was also a bit too young, and sheltered, to truly comprehend. Perhaps Kaz, in all his adult wisdom, would be able to fathom the reasoning behind it once he knew the circumstances, and there was also the chance that he would be ever more understanding once he knew what was going on. But, that was only a chance, and remained to be seen, as he had yet to make aquaintance with Anala herself, mother of Wolfgang, mother of Anja, and daughter of Rain.

Ryker scoured the darkness of the night, her long wavy red hair trembling about slender shoulders, a cocked pistol in her hand, the other holstered upon one narrow hip, the girth of her pelvis nothing compared to some womens, revealing her smaller build. But ot didnt bother her, as she was more than capable of caring for herself, as evidenced by the marking etched in black across the back of one shoulder blade barely visible beneath the flickering aspect of her loose yet clingy clothing, the blue eyes cold and glittering as she drew her weapon, cocking the hammer and taking aim before she fired, crouched stealthily in the bushes where she had based her entire operation.

Aki had heard the shot ring out and had trudged through the bushes to figureout what just had happened his own pistol holstered at his hip. A loud snap of a twig behind Ryker surely would set her off fireing into whomever had snuck up on her. And unfortunately that unlucky sole was the direwolven Akimitsu. Two shots had his his chest splattering blood up onto his face and chin as he let out a airless gasp one round pierceing a lung and the other hitting all sorts of vital organs including his heart.. Aki was a fighter however... And managed to hold onto what remaining life he had in him coughing up a mouthfull of blood as he fell to his knees before slumping over to one side his vision starting to fade. He could see her from where he fell and still hear her voice although it became echoy and distorted as he slipped into the cold void of death. His face had a look of surprise on it. He hadnt even expected someone to be in those bushes it seemed. And at first it looked like she killed two targets in one day but to her disapointment Aki was a wolven NOT a vampire.. He had the tall build and handsome face but the additoon of ears and  a tail ment he wasnt the one she was sopost to kill. Oh well

Ryker's well aimed shot took out her target, but the sound of a being behind her made the red headed female twist about, firing twice at the shadowed outline of a blur she knew to be male. She paused long enough to register his presence and take in his appearance before she cocked her head, gripping the pistol in one hand while she stepped out from the bushes, figuring he already knew that she was here, so why not? Aiming the gun straight at him, the cold blue of her eyes bored holes into his heart and soul while she stared, lifting her free hand to point at the side of her skull, index finger and thumb poised in the makeshift handsign of a gun that children often made, her phalanx brushing her skull as she uttered, in a strangely sweet tone, "Bang, bang." At the exact same instant, she pulled the trigger of her gun twice, firing into his chest and fatally wounding him, waiting until he was down before she approached, thumb on the safety, though she didn't flip it on. She might have to shoot him again. Briefly, she examined his face, tilting her head the other way, at first thinking that perhaps she had gotten lucky and this was another target, but the ears and tail told her otherwise, and she shrugged her shoulders as he stared up at her, gasping for those last few wisps of precious air, struggling to hold onto life. "Hm. You're not him after all. Whoops." Her voice was light and tinkling, nice to listen to, if one could get over how demented or creepy she sounded, and the red head leveled the weapon at Aki again, not even blinking as she fired another couple of shots into the stubborn brute's chest, ending his misery before she walked away, pausing to reload in midstride before holstering the weapon. And then she was gone, leaving no trace or clue as to where he might find her, or even to her identity, when he revived and woke.

Hours passed and Aki awoke with a gasp his shirt tattered and torn blood splattered on his chest but his wounds gone along with one of his precious lives. He had thought it might have had been a dream or a nightmare but hequickly realised it was no such thing. As He headed home to get a change of clothes and perhaps somethign to eat and drink to take the edge off his brush with the void he heard gunshots ringing out from somewhere nearby in the streets. Aki made his way quickly to the rooftops his black tanktop riddled with a few holes and a lot of blood. His outfit before he had been shot was actualy his favorite. Black tank top with red fingerless gloves and loose running pants along with his special red split shoes. And his dufflebag slung over his back. He liked freerunning as a hobbie and it sure came in handy. Pertched ontop of a roof he saw a gunfight going down between a lone person and a few cops in the middle of a street He reconised the female as the one who shot him earlier and noticed the cops starting to flank around to try to get a shot in at her. Aki worked quickly to get  his sniper rifle out and as he racked the bolt ryker could perhaps pick up the sound taking her attention to the rooftop he was on before he fired hitting an advanceing cop sending the others diving for cover as the air cracked loudly with the powerful round sailing to its target. He let off a few more shots flattening a tire and hitting a second cop hoping she would use this as a chance to flee or finish them off. Or both

Rykers pale face was taut, and a frown was upon her maw as she stood bravely in front of the cop cars, methodically firing into the surrounding group, each bullet taking its intended target either in the chest or throat. But it could only last so long, as she was bound to run out of ammunition sooner or later. The unavoidable truth of it became clear as the guns clicked, signaling that the chambers were empty. Holstering the weapons, Ryker withdrew, even as the shots of a sniper rang out, causing her to whirl, resulting in a bullet grazing one arm along the shoulder, and another flying by her face, moving the loosely waving surface of the red curtain that was her hair. A snarl twisted her maw as she glanced back at them, her body dissolving into mist, the fog an eerie white tinged with a faint hue of red.

A few more shots rang out before Aki reloaded and got up to flee the police who had targeted him now not realiseing the red mist followed him wherever he went. He ducked down into a small place he hid in before practicly invisable to passing police yet hadnt noticed the mist yet as it was dark and hard to see in this place. He glanced around before slowly catching his breath dropping his guard

Ryker followed the strange Wolven male in her misted form, watching with a soft chuckle as the police became a confused mass of apprehension, unable to tell where either of their enemies had gone, jumping around at the slightest scuff, as if they feared a bullet would rip through their chests at any given moment. And had Ryker still had ammunition, they very well could have. But as it was, she decided to let them be - she could always return at a later date and off them, or if they gave her trouble in the future she could easily deal with them then, as she would be prepared for such instances should they ever occur again. Lingering about Aki as he hid, though he seemed unaware of her presence, evidenced by the fact he let his guard down, Ryker formed her torso and upper body from the mist behind him, placing her index finger against his head as she whispered teasingly in his ear, "Bang bang." She giggled as he twisted around and she disappeared back into the mist, leaving him wondering if he were going insane, the soft tinkle of her voice sounding as she whispered, "Shouldn't let your guard down." The mist gathered about him, wrapping around his face and head, as if Ryker were teasing him, and taunting him with the unseen, and the unknown. "It's the fastest and most assured way of getting killed."

Aki at first had jumped a bit as he felt her finger and that teaseing whisper in his ear and when he turned she was gone. "The.. fuck?" He muttered before turning again as the mist surrounded him "Okay enough screwing around.. Cmon out whoever,, or whatever you are." He spoke and unknowingly backed up to where hs back was against the deadend of the little alcove area he had hid in.. meaning she easily could block off his escape route if she materialized. And although it was clear she was trying to scare and worry him aki couldnt help but sorta be drawn in to that unknownness. curious perhaps. He didnt seem to realize he was trapped now basicly seeing he foolishly cut hmself off from his escape.

Rykers tinkling laugh echoed about the alleyway, the mist that was her body a white cloud only faintly tinted red at one side, marking where she had been shot by the officers. A faint graze at best. As he watched, the mist took on a vaguely human shape, the dark lighting of the entrapping alley painting her in a backsplash of a silhouette. Her ears were pricked forward, the black surface of her tail hidden behind her as she crouched, eyes a flickering gleam of crystal blue. The scent of her blood filled the stale night air, and the crimson liquid oozed down the delicate surface of one arm. "Aw, what's the matter? Cant fight what you cant hit? Is the big bad wolf afraid?"

Aki perked his ears up and stepped toward "you got hit you know" he spoke gently crossing his arms "Im not fighting at all just trying to hide out from the cops for a bit. Least I'm not so jumpy that I shoot someone who walks up behind them" he retorted although with a lack of venom or anger in his voice. What's your name anyway?" He asks as he set his pack down pulling a roll of gauze out and offering it to her

Rykers white teeth showed in her version of a grin as she chuckled, "Oh, I know, Mr. Wolf. Its just a scratch. Nothing permanent. Or overly concerning." She contemplated returning to mist form, but decided against it, instead standing and easing back towards a ladder climbing up the side of the building, where a set of fire escapes lurked by the apartments. Reaching up with the injured arm, she grasped the cool black surface of the metal before hefting herself up in a elegant flip, crouching in place for a moment as she glanced smirkingly back at him. "Necessary caution in my line of work." She shrugged, nonchalant, as if they were discussing the Sunday paper over a bowl of ceral on the morning like a normal human couple. "You just happened to look like one of my targets." Raising a brow, curved one corner of her lip in a grin, chirping, "Asking for a name when we havent even had a second date? What a scandalous wolf you are. Unfortunately for you, thats for me to know and you to find out...that is, if you can." She lifted a hand as she waved, waggling her fingers before she was gone, climbing the fire escape with record speed, almost as if she were ignoring the annoying pinch of her wound. "Ta ta now, loverboy~!" Her dark form was gone then, crossing over tje roof and leaving Aki staring open mouthed behind her, perhaps even questioning her sanity.
