Snow fussed and struggled as much as Anja's grip would allow most of the way to wherever they were going. After a while she huffed and just hung there like deadweight.

Kaz walked in to the area with Anja wondering if they were getting close. He could sense there was someone living nearby and saw a house out in the distance. Surely if he could see it whoever inside could see him and anja. He was a bit nervous but would try his best to show he is just helping Anja, he even saved her life from some vampires in the park earlier, although that would be hard to beleive unless Anja said it herself. "This is your home?" He asks Anja as the got closer and closer to the house

Anja waltzed in, prancing along by Kaz's side, the disgruntled Snow following after, the elder teen's tail up and waving as she made her way through the thick, heavy drift of snow and to her house, or at least, the place where she and her mother were staying for the moment. Perking up when she saw it, Anja bounded through a few more of the drifts, using her chest as a breaker and plowing through the sticky wetness of the elements, glancing back at Kaz as he spoke, tail waving as she barked, "Yep, that's it! Come on now, don't be shy!" As if he were supposed to walk into the face of her mother's wrath with nothing more than a smile on his face and a friendly wave. Boy, was Anja naive, or perhaps, she just didn't stop to think about the more serious repercussions of the world around her, focusing only on the good, the happiness, the portion that was all, as some might say, rainbows and cupcakes. "Hey Mom! I'm home, and I brought some friends!" The blue and white pelted fae called out, though she paused for a second as the door opened, and out emerged and white and red blur. A snarl and a flash of green was all that Kaz saw coming before he registered the tiny figure of a Wolven female, a she-wolf whose lean frame was upon him, slamming him down into the earth before he, or any of the others, could properly react, and sending flakes of snow flying in each and every direction. Her body was tense, her tail up and ears swiveled forward though her lips were curled as the mother growled, the distinctive red and white tones of her own pelt, so similar but different from her daughter, Anja's, bristling as she snapped, white fangs flashing in the gleaming light of the day. "What do you think you're doing with my child?" Anala growled, her voice deep and dark for a she-wolf, low and grumbling, clear in its presence of a threat, and the promise of harm should the fierce female have discovered that this brute had laid a hand upon even a single hair on her Anja's head. A slender paw was placed strategically at his throat, putting just enough pressure to cut off a bit of his oxygen, making her intent clear - should he resist her, or give her an unsatisfactory answer, Anala would cut off his supply of air, a fitting adaptation considering her size limitation, and the difference in their strength levels. She was a seasoned tracker, and though she had become quite the warrior in her time away, she was no mercenary or assassin, and neither was she one who could last for long in a prolonged battle. It was part of the reason she had been originally captured.

"Easy there ma'am" Kaz got out debating on if he should meet force with force or not. For now, he would try to stay nice and calm and try to talk things out. "I found her near the city at night time, she said she was lost and i couldnt just leave her to get attacked by vampires. I protected her as she found her way back here, honest" He spoke looking the older female straight in the eyes as if he had nothing to hide. "Im Kazuki. I know its hard to beleive a direwolf would help someone other then himself but im telling you the truth. Ask Anja if you dont beleive me. Ive done no harm to her.

Site Owner Posts: 550 | Anala kept the pressure at his throat to a minimum, allowing him the chance to speak, listening with a snarl still upon her lips, the flashing green of her eyes, an attractive feature that clearly ran through their bloodline, as Anja had them too, staring a peircing hole right through the very essence of his soul. She could detect the scent of her daughter and another strange pup, whom she glanced lingering off to the side, clearly depressed and unhappy to be here, but alive and well nonetheless. She could also detect older scents, ones from the city, and those from his travels. It came with the territory of being a mighty fine tracker. She could also tell he was struggling to stay calm - something that was difficult with a bloodthirsty female at his neck, no doubt. Never taking those summer toned orbs fron him, Anala turned her head, calling to her daughter for confirmation before she went any farther. She wasnt in tue business of killing ruthlessly. "Anja, is this true?" Anja, for her part, took a couple of steps towards her mother, though knew it best to pause a few feet away. Kept the older female more rational, to a point. She nodded as she sat, flashing a grinning smile at Snow before chirping, "Yes, Mama. Its true. He was a perfect gentleman and protected me from some strangers in the city. Does that mean we get to keep him?" The youth asked this last question sweetly, tilting her head curiously to the side.

Kaz kept quiet and calm, although surely able to handle Anja's mother if things got out of hand which he really REALLY didnt want to do... Because not only would it hurt Anja's trust and feelings to perhaps irripareable levels but also because Kaz didnt want this to end in violence. Sure she had a paw on his throat and could easily cut off his air supply. But in doing so what was holding down his arms? Sure one paw had one but the other was free to where he could reach his pistol and deliver hot lead in to his attackers chest and stomach. or a stinging punch to the side of the ribs or even face. Although even if the tension got turned up a few more knotches Kaz wouldnt take action unless he knew she was comeing at him to kill him... He glanced over at Anja as she spoke and her last part made him actualy chuckle a bit "If there is no problems i would love to stay with you two, i can pull my own weight and protect you two from any threats that come your way. And im sure there are things that you could use the extra muscle for around here." He spoke knowing the mother was overprotective of her daughter.. but perhaps she could also see the usefullness in having a huge direwolf around to protect them. Who, if she could track his scents far enough back. Was a very very skilled fighter yet wasnt bloodthirsty or a murderer

Site Owner Posts: 550 | Anala snarled at Anja's question, not liking the implications that such an arrangement might have. "Quiet now child- you've answered my question, now permit me to think." She didnt like this man. She didnt trust this male. Not because he was a Dire, but because in the days since she had lost Ice the world had become a cruel and hard place. When he spoke of protecting them her head turned sharply, and she revealed her fangs once more. "And what makes you think we need your protection? I am fully capable of providing my daughter with what she needs. Including protection - especially from a rogue like you." It would seem Anala, in het later years, had grown rather difficult when it came to the subject of trust. "Besides, we aren't staying here long. We're just passing through." Anja, for her part had griwn quiet, flattening het ears as she watched, feeling her heart begin to pound. Was it possible her mother would let her have this new friend? She hoped so. It got rather lonely, what with it just the two of them on the run.

"Safety in numbers.. With one, if your skilled enough you can defend against a small band of raiders, not much more.. with two you can withstand greater numbers. Im just wandering around, nothing for me to do nothing thats holding me down so i could go where you two go, if you allow it. Besides your daughter seems to like the extra ears to talk to. Kaz did have a point, even if anala didnt want to admit it. And he did seem more capable in handleing larger foes they may or may not encounter as well. Where as she could handle one.. mayby two dire wolves on a good day kaz could handle 4 or 5 as he was one, and a large one at that who was very skilled in those sorts of fields. Defendine himself, protecting others.

Site Owner Posts: 550 | Anala looked as of she were about to snarl something else in reply, not liking his tone or his attitude, but she did not. Instead, the female lifted her head, ears flicking forward as her nose twitched, scenting the air, though those with less experience as a tracker would have missed the implications of the aromas she caught. Anja, not sensing her mother's trepidation, had opened her mouth to remark, bit closed it quickly as the elder she wolf growled, the sound resonating low and deep in her throat. "Enough. We will finish this discussion later. Anja, grab the pup. All three of you inside the cabin, now. Kaz, was it?" Her summer colored eyes swiveled back to the male pinned beneath her paw, her tone serious, brooking no argument. "Go inside with them. Lock the door. Do not come out, do not entangle yourself in this mess anymore than you already have. I will handle this, and return to you once it is dealt with." They would not like this. They would think she'd thrown her lot in with a new mate. They could not be more wrong. She would just have to set them straight.

Kaz nodded, although everything in his mind was screaming at him to disobey and fight but he knew right now anala wanted her daughter safe.. And the house had more then one entrance. He got up when she let him up and grabbed his luggage bags quickly getting in to the small two story house with Anja and the pup locking the door like she said. Once inside Kaz grabbed a chair and propped it against the doorknob seeing as the woodden table wasnt too sturdy to block the door with. He set one of the bags on the floor and the other on to a table unzipping it. Inside was a large light machine gun, an MG42 although anja surely wouldnt know that, unless she happened to be a fan of old ww2 films/ Kaz wasted no time loading it with one of the many 100 round belts he had packed away with it. Picking it up as if it weighed nothing and brought it along with some ammo slung over his shoulded upstairs "Anja follow me cmon" He spoke to her and made sure she was with him once he got to an upstairs bedroom. Useing a small nightstand as a base he propped the mg in position aiming out of a window, he stayed back a bit as to not make it obvious and kept the lights off so they couldnt be seen untill he started shooting. (if its not a group coming to cause trouble ill repost xD was unsure if she implied that or not and if she was kaz would have sensed it

(Part one) Anja, unworried by her mother's tone, her mother could take care of anything and everthing, after all, obligingly followed Kaz in after picking Snow up by the scruff once more, and unceremoniously flaunting her agile form into the house. There she set the white scrap of a pup down upon the hardwood of the floor, suprisingly warm despite the temperature due to the woodstove and the fire Anala had built in the fireplace, and watched noncommentally as Kaz fortified the entrances and then hauled his weapon towards the stairs, blinking at the sight of the gun. "What's that?" She asked chipperly, not even seeming the slightest bit scared, or even remotely afraid, as the elder male could no doubt tell from her scent - she still smelled like the same old Anja, and acted like her too, tail up and waving as she chirped, "Okay!" in response to his previous command. "You do know that Mom doesn't need any help, right? This usually happens at least once a month. I dunno know who it is though. Mom won't tell me, she just says we'll be heading to the pack she grew up in after she settles things. Some kind of deal I guess." Seeing him setting up shop in the window, she curiously crept over, glancing back towards the doorway once or twice, wondering if Snow had followed - it didn't seem as if she had. With her hatred of Anja, the teenager highly doubted she would, but eh, anything was possible. Returning to the matter at hand, Anja cocked her head to the other side as she attempted to decipher what it was that Kaz was doing, and what all he could see with the scope of that gun - it was a form she didn't recognize, though she guessed it might be older.

(Part two) It certainly looked it, anyway, and most of the modern weapons she'd seen were sleeker, more compact and easy to conceal. But with her smaller stature, Anja couldn't see in her lupine form, so, after a soft sigh of exasperation, in which she made the small utterance of something akin to a more snarly form of "Hmm," where her ears were also flattened towards the sides of her head and a small frown appeared on the slender muzzle, Anja shifted to her human form, deciding it might be better to view with. Her long red locks were pulled back in a gentle pony tail, her eyes just as green as they were in her wolf form, skin a succulent form of pale, ranging along the color of alabaster. Leaning over his shoulder, without realizing how close she was bringing her finely curved form or what kind of distraction it might provide him even though she was fully covered in the leafy print of her shirt and the rugged cutoff of her shorts, she whispered conspiratorally in his ear, "You know, Mom really doesn't need you up here sniping people - trust me, she's got this. She's cranky, and she gets a touch scary when she's cranky."

Anala glanced over her shoulder to ensure that both of them were following her commands, huffing as she watched the door close, then trotted off on her way, her tail coming up at half mast even as she lowered her head with a growl, ears flattening against her skull as she peeled back her lips, body tensing and fur ruffling as she snarled, low and deep in her chest. "Alright, Fredich. They are gone - you and your cohort may come out now." She was on the outskirts of the snowy pine forest, the red and white of her pelt blending with her terrain, even though the bright blood color flared out against the pristine white of the snow itself. Just visible to Kaz in his window perch, though she didn't know he was there, and very nearly out of range; this was a good distance from the house, and with little to no effort on her part the female could easily slip into the abundant camoflauge, hidden from any mischief that the Dire Wolven her daughter had brought home might cause. "What is it that you now want? You can not have my daughter. I will not allow it. She is innocent and pure, and deserves a life that she may live freely; if you must have consolation, you can take me - after, of course, I deliver her in safety to the home of my birth, and the lands that I myself grew up in." A darker toned male, clearly out of place in a snowy environment wilderness like this, materialized out of the shadows, seemingly coming from nowhere, though he did not advance or approach - not any farther than he had when he came out of the shadows, anyway. "Stand at ease, Anala. We have not come to take your daughter; not this day. Though I would rather we, the pack of her birth, have Anja than that stranger you are consorting with. A new lover, perhaps?" His question was greeted by a snarl of rage and defiance, and the female's scathing retort that he was off his rocker, and considerably crazier than she if he thought she was insane enough to mate with a male like that. However, to answer Anala's earlier question, the male took a seat upon his flanks, showing no threat or intention of harm to whomever might be watching, as if he sensed eyes upon him. "We have only come here to finish negotiations, and find a suitable answer. As my daughter, I want the best for Anja as well, though we disagree as to what that best is. For your pack to have raised such a strong, independent female, I can only imagine what atrocities they will defile Anja with, but in the long run, war with you, and Volcano Pack, is not what we desire. Therefore, your second set of terms are acceptable - we will permit you to take Anja to your homelands, and in return, you will come back to us, to remain and live by our rules for the rest of your days. The Alpha, though relunctantly, has given his blessing, and it is this news I wish to impart. You have until the new moon for the bargain's completion." With that, the male rose, and, as quickly as he had appeared, he was gone from sight, leaving the adult female staring after him for a moment before she hefted a soft sigh, relaxing as she eased her stance, and glanced back towards the cabin, where her child, and her new "friends" were waiting. It seemed there would be no rest this night - this infernal Kaz was curious, she knew, and she would have some much needed explaining to do. But only while Anja was distracted or during the hours her daughter slept.

Kaz stayed quiet before turning his attention to Anja seeing the others hadnt showed up yet "The way your mother spoke made it sound like trouble was coming.. How big or small im not sure, she never said.. I know your mother can handle herself but there comes a time where one person wouldnt be enough... If.. This happens monthly then i guess she will be okay... Im left in the dark over here like you are, i dont know if it was going to be 2 people or 20" Kaz explaines frowning a bit wondering if he indeed overreacted, although he found it a little funny how Anja was looking at the gun as if it was a piece of alien tech she never seen before, or a dusty old relic. "And.. its not really a sniper rifle... Your mother ever show you how to use a gun?" He asks unsure if she was so sheltered her mother never taught her self defense before. Slowly taking the gun out of his little set up he rested it on the table and pulled up a chair for himself to sit as well as a second one for her if she wished to watch him work on it so it stayed maintained and in working order "

Member Posts: 201 | Snow looked absolutely mortified when Anna had snatched her back up and trotted into the cabin. She twisted, but once set down she nearly jumped from the warmth of the room. Slowly, her eyes began to droop and she looked for some hiding place to curl up and sleep.

Site Owner Posts: 550 | Anja shrugged, replying, "Mom thinks everything's super dangerous when it comes to me. She's overprotective to an extreme. I dunno why, but she doesn't like it when my uncles come around." She didnt mention thay one of the wolves was her father because in all honesty, Anja herself did not know. Anala had kept it secret from her just as she had sheltered her daughter from the harsh reality of the pack. It was why she was taking Anja to Volcano, so her elder brother could help look after and protect her. But of course Anja didnt know that, she didn't know much of anything when it came to those types of situations it would seem. The weapon did fascinate her, and she cocked her head to the side as she sat cross legged on the wooden floor beside his chair while they moved back to the kitchen, her red hair flowing smoothly behind one shoulder. It was pulled back into a pony tail, and her eyes were a bright, grass green. "Nope," she chirped, "we're fire people. Mom just burns them to a nice, toasty crisp. Its just as effective, she says, and we dont have to buy bullets that way. Our powers rely more upon our own energy." Anala entered the cabin a few moments later, shaking the snow from her glorious red and white coat. She looked at Kaz sitting with her daughter and curled a lip, not liking the presence of the gun. "And you have a gun near my child because, why exactly? I told you to stay here with her. Not pull out that thing and have it near my daughter." As she spoke, a cross tone evident in her maw, Anala moved over towards Snow, the door falling shut behind her before automatically locking. Nosing the little white pup over towards the fire, the mother lay upon the thick rug in front of the hearth, allowing the younger child to curl into her side if Snow so wished, her slender body providing a surprising amount of comforting heat.

"Figured it would be better safe then sorry... you didnt exactly explain what was happening and i got the impression something bad migth be going down.. besides.. Atleast you know i have it so its not a secret" Kaz replied finishing up its matenince rather quickly before stowing it back in its large duffle bag. He watch Anala get close to Snow and wondered if the little pup would snap at her like she did at Anja and such. And then he looked back at Anja "Just fire? You dont use anything else to defend yourselves?

Site Owner Posts: 550 | "That is none of your business," Anala growled, flattening her ears, folding them back neatly against the sleek surface of her skull, resisting the urge to curl back a lip. She felt Snow relax against her, and briefly nosed the top of her tiny head, curling more securely and tightly about her, ensuring the little one was surrounded by warmth before looking back at the man her daughter had brought home. "As it is none of your business what our problems are, or how I will deal with them. Now put the infernal thing away, and make yourself comfortable in the farthermost corner of the house. Away from my child." She glared with a gaze of steel green that was the same hue as Anjas, if a bot darker, more jaded. Angry at the world in some regard, though most took her as more of the protective type. "Anja, come over here and get some sleep. Its getting late and we move on in the morning."
