Kaz frowns a bit at the amount of pure hostillity this female seemed to have to hom and anyone else she deemed as a threat. "You really think i would hurt a child? what kind of monster do you take me for Anala? Just because im a dire wolf means all i want is bloodshed and death?" Kaz seemed rather offended. He had saved her daughter once already and he had hoped Anala would be thsi cold once she saw he wasnt a threat to her or her daughter. But kaz also knew just how shelter Anja was now.. How she had no chance in the real world as she currently was. or atleast would struggle horribly

"What I think is irrelevant." Anala retorted coldly, beckoning Anja to her side with a flick of her slender tail. "As for your blood, being Dire has nothing to do with it. I base my remark solely upon the fact you brought a GUN around my child, who has never been exposed to such things. I do not give a damn how safe you are with it or how proficient. It is not to be near my daughter. Not in my house, and not so long as I still breathe. You know nothing of our past or from where we come. You know nothing about us save what you have observed. You also know nothing behind the reasoning for my choices and why I handle things the way I do. Yet you sit here in this kitchen and judge me. You sit in here telling my daughter fanciful tales and filling her head with ideas of how you see things because you do not see it the same. Did you ever pause to wonder why we live the way we do? Did you ever consider there might be valid points and reasons for it?" She glared at him the entire time she spoke, never backing down or breaking away her eye contact. To her this was no game and she was serious, her mindset made up and unyielding. There would be no bending the rules, there would be no compromise. Not when it came to Anja.

Kaz didnt back down this time standing his grould firmly on his argument " I can tell you have come from a bad place by the way you are so untrusting. That atleast someone had to do somethign to you to completely shatter your faith in humanity. Thats why you shield your daughter so nobley from the outside world to protect her innocense. But she needs to know that the world isnt all sunshine and good. She needs to learn how to protect herself. How to carry on if your not there for her. Im not saying you would ever abandon her goodness no but there is a time in everyones lives where they end up on their own one way or another.. We both know that. As for my choice of weapons its rather hypocritical to say you dont want them near your daughter while you wield fire the same way. Lead kills just as burns do. And knives.. Blunt objects. Nearly everything in this room can be a weapon from the chairs to the utensiles to the glass jars. Guns are just another way to fight. They dont kill unless there is someone behind that trigger that wants to do harm. Not everyone is gifted with magic either. As I am not. So i carry them as a way to protect myself, the same way you carry your elemental abilitys.

"While for you that might be so," Anala answered coldly, her body tensing as her fur began to fluff, "it is not for you to decide how I raise my daughter, or to question my decisions regarding her or her safety. She has not been around a gun before, and so in her hands, or even near them, a gun is far more dangerous than your ordinary weapon. She knows how to control her fire - I trained her myself." She snarled and rose to her agile paws as he pointed out Anala wouldnt be around forever, her voice a dangerous tone as she took a threatening step forward. "And you think me so dense as to not prepare for such? What do you think this whole trip through the mountains is about? Or are you really so thick as to think we fire wielders prefer the cold? As I said before, my daughter is none of your business, and so long as I am around, you will not be near her. You brought her home and I thank you for that, but now you're done. I will not have you in here queatioing me or raising doubts to my plan when you yourself do not know the whole story. You can see yourself to the door. Now. Get. Out." Anja had shrank back when her mother stood, taking on her wolf form and scampering back over to Snow as Anala came forward, crouching down to hunker beside the smaller pup even as Anja proteated half heartedly in a tiny voice, "But Mom, its cold outside..." Which was abruptly cut off at the sight of her mother's unbending glare.

Kaz shook his head with a sigh hefting his large duffle bags onto his towering frame "By the way she seems so sheltered from the outside world id say your not doing a good job at it.. I mean no offence to you Anja when i say this but if i had malicous intent you wouldnt have gotten home." He turned to Anala one last time "You need to teach her how to stand on her own feet. To let her go after what she wants and show her the world is a cold place. Sheltering a child is one thing but to completely keep them blind to the real world and how it works. How you cant always rely on your mother to keep you safe.. How to protect what you hold dear to your heart. Your overbearing overprotective and going to get your daughter killed if you keep raising her this way. At some point in your life you loose your innocense.. and live on.. or try to hold onto it and get hit with the cold reality most of the world is out to get you.." With that he began to go to the door although completely aware he would have wound Anala up by telling her the truth as he saw it. He was ready if she would try to attack him

The air around them first grew warm, then incredibly hot, swelling with the flames of her ire. However, where a younger Anala would have lunged at him then and there, this older, more experienced version of her remainef where she stood, hackles up, her fur ruffed and ears back, another snarl echoing for her maw. "She has been taught self defense, and if you had dared lay a hand on her - should you dream of doing so even now - I will come for you, and I will end you. This Kaz, I can promise." Analas green eyes were cold and hard, glittering like emeralds in the flickering firelight, her voice dangerous and soft. "You are an outsider, and so have no true idea of what you speak. Nor are you a parent. Quite frankly, I do not care what you think of me or my parenting style. You know nothing beyond your presumed assumptions, and your own biased opinion, which, if you wish to be technical, can be considered as narrow minded as you regard my own. As I said earlier, it is not your place. You are not family. You are not pack. You are a lone wolf who would do best to leave, and to never let me see your face again. Come near my child or me, and I will show you the wrath of the Windwalkers." Oh yes, a younger and less experienced Anala would have flown at him in rage within the span of a single heartbeat, but now Anala knew she had to set an example. She had planned for this. She had taken all these things into consideration. She knew Anja too naive to be in the city. It was why she was taking her youngest child to the protection of Analas own birth pack: the world of the Volcano. There she would be watched. Sheltered. Protected. And Anala herself would take her only daughters place, sacrificing her own chance at happiness in life in order to provide a better existence for her child. Watching him leave, Anala ensured the door was locked before she returned to the pups, curling soothingly back around Snow as she nuzzled the little ones head. "Now," she sighed, "Who might you be? Anja did not introduce me to you." Anja herself had gone to the window and stood on her hind paws, watching Kaz go before she glanced back at her mother, the blue markings on her pelt and slimmer form the only thing that kept the familial pair apart. "Mom, is he gonna be alright? Its cold out. And I dont think he was trying to be mean. Or rude. Or question you."

"I'd expect no less from a mother thats devoted to their child." He remarked before setting out into the cold darkness. Glanceing back to see Anja looking at him in the window. He gave a smile and a small wave as if everything would be okay... He travled a litle ways away in the snow stopping to open his other duffle bag.. It was cold and he could use all the warmth he could get.. So why not throw on his armor?. Putting it on by himself was a task but he eventually had it strapped on helmet and all. He turned the redmode vision on in his helmet helping him see in the blizzard giving a very ominous red glow to his eyes. it was rather frightening to see a man 7 foot tall in such large armor. He had also pulled out his rifle, the smaller kind that neither Anja or Anala had seen as he didnt feel like toting around his mg42. it would be overkill for whatever challanged him so the stg44 was enough. Dated yet relyable he carried it fully loaded into the night. Hours passed and he was growing  abit cold and knew the night wasnt even halfway over. He paused leaning against a tree to rest for a moment unsure where he even was or where the city was. he was in the forrested side of the mountains

Snow growled and backed away from Analas touch "why were you so mean to him? All he did was make sure your dumb pup got home without dying."

Anala flicked an ear as Snow danced back and away from her with a growl fitting an adult of their kind, her green gaze going to Anja as she peered out the window. Her childs ice colored markings, so pale in contrast to her own, markibg then as two separate bei gs, and allowing for both of them to easily be told apart. The elder female heaved a small sigh as she replied, "Because he did not listen to what I told him, and he brought a gun around my child. I am grateful he returned her safely, but I will not allow her safety to be put in danger with such means. It is true guns are like any other weapon - it takes another to pull the trigger, yes - but in the hands of someone unfamiliar with such weaponry, they can be just as if not more dangerous than say a blade, for example. And my daughter is curious - she would have her paws all over it." Outside, the winds picked up, causing Abja to wince as she came back to the side of her mother, flopping down in front if the fire with an unhappy sigh. She would rather Kaz had stayed - he actually told her things. Her mother did not, preferring to be discreet, and their family business secret. It was not long before the pup slept however, lulled into the taunting darkness by the soothing heat and the exhausting events of the day. Unusually, Anja was quiet, as if her mother kicking Kaz out had opened a new door in her mind, and Anja was trying hard to cope with it.

Outside the storm grew in its intensity the winds making the walls of their tiny cabin creak and moan under its strain. Kaz was in the middle of said storm no doubt cold but perhaps not dead yet. Dire's were tough bastards and this storm shouldnt claim his life... if he was careful. Kaz rested beneath a tree for a while his body heat flickering here and there as the chill creeped in on him  a bit but it was nothing a hot thermous of soup couldnt solve. Although as he took the metal canister out of his bag he witnessed two figures approaching. Not wanting to risk it He stood letting the sound of his rifle being cocked. The telltail sound of something capable of fireing in full auto making both of the figures stop. Kaz spoke his voice slightly distorted by the mask "Thats far enough who are you? Anja..? Anala?" He asks unable to tell at this distance

Anala remained awake, long into the hours of the night, listening to the sound of the storm and the quiet of the childrens' breathing as they slept, Snow having succumbed to her fatigue once more a scant few hours later. She uttered a soft growl of a sigh, not liking how the wind whistled along the cracks in their cabin, or how the wind moaned. It meant that she had sent that man out into almost certain death if he were unused to this type of terrain, though she had to admit, Dire Bloods were difficult to kill. Still, she wasnt heartless, and the thought of him struggling through the night because of her overprotective pride sent a pangbof guilt shuddering through her heart. Standing, Anala looked down at the sleeping figures one last time before nosing each of them in turn, pushing Snow closer to Anjas warmth while the not so young anymore mother would be gone before she turned, heading quietly out the door. She gasped as the cold hit her, a freezing gust of wind cutting clean through the scant protection of her thin pelt, shaking out and fluffing her fur while she narrowed her eyes to mere slits, flicking her tail as if steeling her nerves before she set out in the icy terrain. Before her mates death, before her capture and Anjas birth, Anala had been the lead tracker of Volcano, easily able to find even the most elusive of prey or lurk in the shadows with the best of them during a scouting mission. But there was no tracking in this. "Kaz!" She shouted, at the top of her lungs, the wind carrying away her voice like it muffled the cries of a forlorn howl, the call never reaching his lupine ears. The pair of Wolven who had approached him paused, soft snarls echoing from their maws, ears pricking forward at the sound of the gun. At the mention of the shewolves names, one growled outright, advancing boldly on the lone Dire. He couldnt shoot both of them. "What are you doing with our females?" Anja may have been freed by the deal her mother struck, but that didn't mean Kaz knew that, and seeing as Anala was coming back to them of her own free will, that made her off limits to those this dreadful pack considered strangers. Like Kaz. "The red and white one is spoken for, you know. Her pretty little daughter?" The strange male smirked, the two having grown close enough to speak without shouting too loudly to be heard over the storm. "Well, shes mine. Nothing like taking them young so you can train them the way you like."

Hearing this kaz narrowed his eyes not liking the way this male spoke. The soft click of his fireselect switch crossing from the inoperable safe position to the full-auto selection would hopefully cause the male to think before continueing any farther foward. He knew the moment he fired the other would dive into the darkness of the blizzard. and Kaz would have to deal with him in hand to hand combat.  "You dont have yhour name on her... and besides.. who do you think you are to talk as if you own them... Id suggest you leave this place and do not return for her if you value your life... "Kaz coldly warned him having shouldered his weapon taking aim ready to fire in a split second "Go...or ill kill you where you stand so you cant come after her.. What my buisness is with them is non of your concern..." Kaz waited... and as soon as the male made any attempt to close distanc or even drew a knife Kaz would open fire. The cracking sound of gunshots reaching Anala letting her know she was closeby and something was going on. Kaz got only 5 rounds up before the freezeing cold caused his rifle to jam up. Nonetheless those five rounds sent the first wolven down into a coughing bleeding heap while the other nodoubtibly got low and hid in the blizzard. Kaz took the mag out of the weapon forceing the charging handle back to eject the frozen cartrage. He was left open for an attack if the male was so daring to try to disarm him although the heavy armor he wore made him slower but very protected

The male simply laughed, a dark and sinister sound if there ever was one, and advanced, taunting, "And what will yoy do if I dont, Dire boy? Rip my throat out? Burn my flesh? Oh I know, you'll use that handy weapon you have there to even the odds because you dont feel like dealing with me yourself." A sharp snarl ripped across the air as the rifle fired and the male went flying back in a spray of blood; though Kaz had only fired five rounds before the ice rendered the weapon useless, all hit their marks, and all were vital areas. The male crumpled into the forlorn cold of the snow while his companion ducked into the safety of the blizzard, from Kazs sight while he prepared to stike. Sensing the rival male was vulnerable, the companion of the Wolven Kaz had previously shot lunged forward with a snarl, a painful sound that turned first into a startled gasp and then died away into a gurgle as he was thrown into the air and theb the ground, the vague shape of a white and red female barely visible in the ever thickening mire. Anala, hearing the shots, had pricked her ears and flown towards them, moving at a dead run, able to navigate the snow drifts despite the fact that she was a Volcano pack Wolven, and so hailed from a land of fire, a vast realm of flames. Seeing the circling motion of the brute who had come to her earlier that day, Anala determined his trajectory, trackibg where he was going, and using the storn as cover, had slipped into the hidden safety of one of the snow drifts. She had waited until the brute was in the prime of his leap before she lunged, knowing then he would be at his most vulnerable, plunging through the icy layers and freezing depths in a vertical motion that had both surprised and startled Kaz - he hadnt known she was here, and did not expect the female to come to such a daring rescue. Jaws clamping about the throat, Anala writhed in midair, shaking the brute viciously as the pair fell back to earth, Anala on her feet and the male in a lifeless heap at her paws. Her tail was up and her fur fluffed, and not just from the cold. The bright red of her markings, gentle swirls the color of blood, seemed to shine in the night, appearing to pulse in time with the beat of her heart, the throb of her lively pulse. Her ears were back against her skull, her lips curled to reveal achingly white teeth. "We had a deal." Her voice was dark abd dangerous, full of wrath and ire as she stared down at the now dying male, Kaz spaced appropriately behind her. She had seen how he handled himself, had borne witness to the majority of the fight - save for the very start at the most prime of beginnings.

"Anala??"  Kaz called out as he approached the clacking of his rifle indicating he had unjammed it and reloaded it with the remaining 25 rounds left. Seeing it was indeed Anala who had helped in the fight by takeing on the male while kaz's weapons malfunctioned he dropped his guard just slightly "You had a deal...? Why did you come out here?" He asks as the male whithed weakly beneath her before dieing a slow death. "What did these males want with you? speaking as if they owned you and Anja... and why after kicking me out did you come back?" He asks removing hsi helmet revealing it was indeed Kaz so she didnt mistake him as another stranger

Hearing the sound of his voice and the clacking of the weapon, Anala whirled with a snarl, her muscles pulling tightly as she lowered her body to the ground, the sound emanating from her throat a dangerous noise that indicated she would gladly rip out the throat of whomever dared to approach with such audacity. Seeing it was only Kaz, she relaxed her stance - just slightly. Standing straight once more, she glanced back at the brute who lay dying pitifully behind her, dropping her tail so that it lay by her flanks, a soft huff billowing out a frosted breath through her jaws, the blackened lips offsetting the snow hued canines that were her teeth. The green eyes glittered and gleamed like hard rock, something akin to emeralds, and her voice, when she spoke, was snarling and dangerous. "It does not concern you." She realized he'd heard far more than she originally intended, and she did not wish to take the time to explain. He was still a stranger. "I have it taken care of; I merely came to see if you needed shelter from the storm. I am a protective mother, not a heartless monster." She still didn't appear to thrilled to see him, nor did she seem to pleased with the idea of bringing him back, but it was as she said - she was not that type of monster, and would not condem a being to death just because they disagreed with or, in her opinion, disprespected her and her decisions when they did not know the whole story. To do so would make her a tyrant, and she was not that type of person. The wind whistled past them as silence fell, each pausing in their speech and words - Kaz to let what Anala said sink in, and Anala to hear his answer. She would not ask again.

"You kicked me out once.. you knew what you were doing then and there did you not? Why bring me back in? Pity?" He asks as he holstered his rifle.. "If you are okay with it i wont refuse but.. i do need to know.. when its my life being put out now and wolven attacking me because of something they have to do with you i think i deserve an explination atleast.. What was the deal? Why are they out to get you?" Kaz asks as the two began to go back to the cabin she was staying in. Perhaps he did deserve some answers.. the abridged version atleast. "I still dont agree with your particular brand of parenting but i do apologise... it was rather rude of me to speak to you that way in your own abode... honesly you should probably have just left me out here.. taught me a lesson for my rudenss.." Kaz murmers as they walked surpriseing her that a dire showed some modesty and admited when he was wrong... even if she didnt help the situation either

"The storm was not so bad then. I did not think you foolish enough to remain without shelter through the night." Anala huffed in reply, flicking her ears as she began to walk with him back towards the cabin. "I have already told you to come, do not dally and try my patience further." A flick of the tail was the only command she gave, but it was a firm one. It seemed that she was used to being in power, or at least to having other Wolven follow her lead and listen to her orders, taking them seriously and listening when she had something to say. That was because back in her youth, Anala had been the Lead Tracker of Volcano Pack, though those days were long behind her, and she had discovered how to be a leader, albeit a lower ranking one, in times of need. She had been quite effective too, back in those days, but now, she was little more than an untrusting loner herself, trying her best to ensure her child's safety and the chance of a brighter future. Even if that meant Anala sacrificing her own. A sigh hefted from her lips as he asked his questions, and she flicked her ears back to keep the chill of the freezing wind out, pausing as she fluffed up her fur and shook out her coat, sending the ice and snow already accumulating within shivering out into the frosted darkness. Her green eyes and pale shape were all that Kaz could see as the wind howled around them, massive flakes glimmering in the darkness of the night, the visibility poor, and the moon's shadow completely blemished from those lurking upon the ground below. Anala knew that those two males would revive eventually, and she did not wish to be anywhere close by when that happened - another battle in this frozen wilderness would do no one any good, and in fact, could prove to be quite disasterous. She supposed she could at least give him some form of an answer, even if she didn't really wish to go into the details of the whole story. "They are here for me. After my mate's death, I left our birth pack, to wander for a bit to find myself. I was captured by this pack, and was kept there against my will for many years; it is where I had Anja. Anja is the reason I am doing this - I want her to have a life, a life other than what they have planned, where she is free to choose her own path, and her own destiny. So I took her and escaped; we are on our way to my birth pack now, Volcano Pack. They have caught up with me, however - seeing as Anja was born there, they think she should return, despite the fact I was an unwilling prisoner. I will not let them have her again, so I will return in her place. That is why they have come."

Kaz stopped suddenly... "Anala.." He began frowning "You do know you have another way to resolve this... where you and your daughrer can live your lives.. keep your freedoms.." His tone had changed completely perhaps shocking her a bit. it wasnt as.. monotonic and flat as before.. It had some... emotion in it.. "I can stop them.. fight them for you and Anja... Ive already killed two and im certain my weapons wont jam on me.. Let me do this.. please" Kaz spoke softly.. "You deserve to live your life... If they are the same as those two we delt with... you surely will be used... abused... I cant.. I cant just stand around knowing that is happening..." Kaz gently rested a hand on Anala's shoulder so she would spin around to look at him. "Anala... let me handle them.... im dire.... with my armor guns and bloodline ill be able to take them... and so what if i loose a life... if it means helping you and Anja out it will be worth it...
