"Well, I never-" He was cut of abruptly as the female suddenly reared up and shoved him, rather roughly, he might add, from the branch and into the cold, splashing waters of the pond, the high pitched sound of his startled yelp echoing about the clearing before being swallowed by the resounding noise of his splash. A few seconds later he popped up, resurfacing as he gasped for air, standing wildly as he found his paws could touch the bottom and he could still raise his head above water. Turning a blind glare up at her, he huffed, flicking water from his ears as he swiveled them back, grumbling about she-wolves and their sheer audacity as he made his way to the shore, at first not to sure where to go, but, by pricking his ears forward and following the instructions of his loyal moths, managing to turn himself about and make it to the banks without too much trouble. Now he just had to haul himself out. At least he was cooler, he reminded himself crankily as he shook out the thick pelt that was his black fur, flicking his tail as he sat once more, beneath the branch where he had earlier perched, and where Reaper herself now sat. As she chuckled darkly, he smirked, turning that sightless gaze back up at her with a mere twist of his lanky head, returning, "Oh, I'll get you back for that little stunt, Princess. Just you wait. Might not be today. Might not be tomorrow. But one of these days, when you least expect it, you'll look over your shoulder and find old Remington on your tail and ready to give you a good scare."

"What is it you do anyway old timer?" Reaper hopped down so that they were both in the same level. "You can't have just come all the way out here to die."

Remington scoffed at the remark, his crackling voice returning, "Just to die? Princess, Ill have you know Ive plenty of life left in me yet. More than enough to handle a spry young squirt like you." He was aware she had jumped down and knew she had moved right next to him - he could hear the soft whisper of her movements even if he couldnt see them. "As for what I do," he continued, nonchalantly scratching at a particularly irritating flea just behind his shoulder and then his ear, "isnt something a pretty like you should know. Might scar your quaint little innocence." He muttered the words in a mocking tone.

Reaper growled, tempted to shove him back into the water, maybe even hold him down until the bubbles stopped. "I'm not some innocent little girl, you old fleabag." she spat at him, tail lashing in agitation. "If you're just going to play games, go do so somewhere else." she then made the fatal mistake of doing one thing, she turned her back to him.

Remington cocked his head, triangulating her positioning by the sound of her voice, the rush of her fur as she moved, coupling it with his estimation of her height based on what he had seen with his echolocation. A grin forming on his graying maw, Remington stood, his joints creaking by only the slightest bit as he moved. "That so, Princess? In my experience, such ladies are always kept free from stain and harm. In a sense," he shrugged before continuing, "innocent. But, should I stick around," he was beside her then, his breath hot against her ear, the chill of his voice sending shivers down her spine, "what are you gonna do to stop me....Princess?" With that, Remington promptly bowled her over by shoving his shoulder quickly into her side, sending her tumbling onto her back with his larger size and the force of surprise, where he promptly moved atop her, placing his front paws on the center of her chest, one hind foot on her belly as he leaned down and chuckled, "Its never a good idea to turn your back on the blind bounty hunter, my dear. We've ways of coping with our handicap in a most unusual of means."

Reaper paused as the male spoke, but froze when he was suddenly speaking into her ear. She fell with a yelp at his shove and stared up at him, her maw parting to protest but falling silent as he pinned her, a shiver running up the females spine, her pulse quickening for a moment. "Bounty Hunter then." She smirked. "You weren't sent after little old me where you?" She extended a foreleg to press her paw to his chest, almost in a seductive manner.

That same wicked grin was spread along his maw as he kept her pinned to the earth below him, his thick fur ruffling in a bit of wind, his batlike ears pointed forward as if to hear the softening whisper of her breath, or the seductive purr of her words. A dark chuckle escaped his chest as she asked him if he had indeed been sent after her, and Remington's haunting blind eyes seemed to burn their image upon Reaper's own pale, though sightful, retinas, forever marking her in his glow. His laugh was full as he threw back his head, his jaws opening to reveal the haphazardly placed fangs, the long essence that was his tongue visible through the gleaming confines of his maw, a soft snort at the end impacting his statement as he stepped off of her - but not before lowering his head so that his muzzle was close to her own, so close they were side by side, and she could practically feel his breath as his rough voice whispered in her ear, "Well that's for me to know, and you to find out, isn't it, my dear? For now, just know that I'll be watching out for you," he chuckled in a smirk, his tongue lightly caressing her forehead in what could be considered a brief Wolven kiss, akin to something like a light peck on the cheek. With that, he was off of her, and gone, disappearing almost as quickly as he had come, leaving her to roll to her side and wonder when it was he might return, and just what his goals and objectives might have been - one thing was for sure though: Remington was not quite all there in the head, based on his rambunctious personality and crude phrasing, but Reaper was left with the sense that if he had meant her harm, she wouldn't be standing here as easily as she was today, or at the very least he would not have given up so easily. But then, had he really given up? After all, he had promised that he'd see her again - she just didn't quite know when.

Well if Reaper hadn't been "hot and bothered" previously, she most DEFINITELY was now, staring in disbelief as the male vanished. She rolled to her feet and stared that way a bit more before shaking the dust from her fur and padding down to the edge of the water for a drink to calm her nerves, and possibly cool the warmth that had settled in the pit of her stomach. A part of her thought this 'Remington' was crazy, but a deeper part of her truly hoped to see the strange male again.

The next day Remington came back around, his blinde blue eyes staring straight ahead and his head lowered to shoulder level, tail by his flanks, almost as if he were stalking prey. His ears flicked forward, mouth opening as his lips made a soft "o" where he blasted a stream of hogh pitched sound that only those with the ability to sense sonar could pic up. Flicking his ears as he painted a picture of his surroundings, Remi lifted his head as he located Reaper, the female just a few feet off to his right, almost out of his "view". The moth he had attached to her twitched its antena, alerting master of tye she wolves whereabouts and just how moody she could be from its own obersvations. Remington flicked his tail, appearing as if he were thinking, wondering if and wheb he should speak to her, and just how she would take it. He truly found her to be a fascinating female.

The she-wolf was actually relaxed today, taking a break from the midday sun and its burning rays. A rather irritating necessity being as she was a dark furred creature. She flickered an ear at the sound of the approaching moths and cracked open an eye. "You're back?" she popped her neck and rolled her shoulders. "I thought you'd run off for good."

Remi chuckled dryly, swiveling his ears forward at the sound of her voice, head swinging in her direction and grinning that wicked, eeriely smile, his scattered and broken teeth flashing in the dappled sunlight filtering through the few trees at the edge of the pond. "Had some high hopes did we, Princess?" He snorted as he drew nearer and flopped down, flicking his tail as if he owned the place. His joints creaked just a touch, one ankle popping as he slid it back into place, crossing one paw over the other. He really could be quite irritating with that whole attitude, whether one could tell he was quite right in the head or not.

"A girl can dream" she didn't bother telling him off for the nickname this time, she could already tell to do so would just be a waste of perfectly good breath. "So who exactly hired a blind bounty hunter anyway?" She flickered an ear, tilting her head as she asked.

"Dreamin's about all you're doin' today, looks like, Princess," Remi laughed, snorting as he blew a cloud of gnats away from his face and nose, panting softly already in the extreme heat, splaying his lupine body out so that as little heat as possible was retained, rolling partially onto his back as he rubbed at an itch upon his shoulders, scratching futilely at the spot, paws sprawling as he writhed and squirmed, the long surface that was his tongue retreating within his tapering muzzle as he replied, "Eh, no one important. Not so as to bother you with, Princess. I'm just along for the ride, honestly. Don't even know where the target took off too. Good riddance, I say. He was a nuisance."

"Is that so?" She shook to dissuade a few gnats as well, "how bad was he then?" She asked "if you're up for telling, I've got plenty of shade."

He snorted, retorting, "You seem to have forgotten Im already in your shade. But I guess Ill tell you anyway. I dont see any harm. Then again, I dont see much of anything anymore." He huffed in a chuckle, rolling back onto his belly and slipping his tongue out as he panted, hollow looking sides rising and falling rapidly with each motion of his breath. "It was some Alphas kid, tall with black fur. He ran away from home and his poor crazy screw loose mother is worried sick over him. Supposed to be some kind of well known assassin."

At this, Reaper paused. "Red eyes?" She asked almost shakily. She was trying to keep her calm but it was becoming increasingly difficult with the given information.

Remington paused, his ears flicking as he cocked his head, trying to recall. "Hm. Yes, I think so. Dunno why the idiots gave me a description, however. It's not like it'll do me any good," he chuckled, catching the note of anxiety in her voice, though he didn't act like it. He just kept on, like the total crude asshole that he was, as Remington said what he wished, how he wished, and when he wished. He wasn't exactly the nicest of people, and Reaper could tell that the bounty hunter was not one who had a personality for modesty....or, apparently, manners. "Why, Princess? Know where I can find 'im?" He smirked, laying his head on his forepaws as he turned it in her direction. "Or are you just jealous you have competition for my attention?"

"No" she frowned, clearly put-off. "I just thought maybe you had enough sense to not take payment from a crazy person." She stood to leave him. "Personally of it were me I'd let the boy be." She turned to go and took a few steps.

"Eh, I lost his trail anyway," Remi snorted, tossing his head as his fur prickled when a leaf hit him, sensing her stand and getting the impression he had insulted her. He found he didn't really care, if he reflected on the thought, and merely lay his snout back on his paws, not having the desire to move from this spot. Not just yet. It was much to comfortable.
