Volcano Pack:                 

A remote set of cabins given their name due to the activities that often go on inside, joined by a few others over the years. It is a cozy place where young couples often meet to get away from it all, to have some alone time, and to just further their bond and get to know each other better. However, it is not always occupied by lovers, there are occasions in which it is filled with the presence of teenagers sneaking out for a bit of freedom from home.

Trill trudged along outside the cabins on her hands and knees, digging the dirt out from under a couple like a dog for a bone. "It has to be here somewhere." She mused aloud. It had been few thousand years, but Trill was sure it was still here. Although it seemed like an odd spot to go about business, many years ago, a wager was made with the old necromancer in this very location. 

Severus looked around the cabins curiously, taking note of some of the wear on the structures. "You're certain this is the place?" he tapped his chin in thought, some of the layout of the area seemed familiar to the glorified zombie, but only vaguely.

Trill nodded as she rumaged around halfway under one of the cabins. "I am possitive." In a moment, Trill grunted in a way that could only indicate she had found what she was looking for. When she pulled herself out from under the wooden structure, she held in her gloved hand an amulet shaped like a brilliant red crystal rose that glowed as intencely as the necromancer's gaze. "This is it. My payment after a deed long carried out for thousands of years."

"That so?" He leaned back against the outside wall after helping her back to her feet. True, Sev's movements were sluggish, but he still retained much of the strength he had had in life. "And why the sudden urge to dig it up? if you don't mind my asking." He was curious more than anything, but he really had nothing better to do for the time being. While he waited, he had attempted to comb through some of the tangles in his hair before finally giving up for the time being and binding it back. Now, with the hair out of the way, one could clearly see his angled face, a sharp jaw that led to high but not prominent cheekbones.

Trill brushed some the dirt out of the carefully molded crystal petals of the rose. "It called to me. This is no ordinary amulet, you see. It holds a sentiant soul within. It's one of three artifacts of the same nature. Until now, I only had the two because one cannot simply dig up these anciant amulets. You must wait for them to call you and for some reason, this one started calling me the moment you were resorected."

"Strange." He mused, pausing to pick some dirt from under his fingernail. "Any idea why that is?" He asked "Or is this another one of those 'go do this to get this thing to give to this person for this thing to give that person and MAYBE we get the answer?"

Trill cracked a smile and genuinly laughed, something she didn't do often. "Hard to say. It's been so long, I can't even quite recall what the task was in order to obtain this artifact." She gave Sev a sideways glance, studying him for a moment. "But maybe I'm not the to be asked such questions. Mayhaps there's more to the mage Severus than even the old texts haven't been able to pick up on."

Trill handed Sev the amulet with a raised brow. Truth be told, she was a bit curious herself on what the amulet's true origins were.

Trill tried to think back to the night she recalled recieving the rose. "If I remember correctly, it was in exchange for a life to be brought back. A young woman, to be exact. Her husband had come to me with the artifact, begging for me to bring her back. However... It was around the time I first began practicing my gift and required a sacrifice in order to bring something as large as a human back. I'm sure there's a lot more to it, but that's about all I can fish up at the moment."

Trill wracked her brain a bit harder in hopes of bring more details to the surface, but couldn't find much. After a moment, she shrugged. "I just wish I knew what any of it has to do with you? If it's you that prompted the amulet to call to me any not anything a little more depth."

Sev frowned and tried to remember anything else from that time. With a sigh, he handed the rose back to Trill. "I'm sorry." he said, "I just cant think of any reason that thing would suddenly want to call for you." it took a lot for him to admit even he was beat, but he was only human- er.... well zombie.

Trill took the rose and slipped it into her pocket before she placed both gloved hands on either side of Severus' face. She stared up at him, unblinking for a long while, studying his features as if looking at a complicated map. "Do you remember how you died, Severus? I mean... exactly?"

Sev frowned and seemed to be deep in though for some time. "Honestly I cant say that I recall... maybe its best to leave the past in the past."

Trill tilted her head as she weighed her responce. "I suppose, but how long can one 'leave the past in the past' until it becomes apparent that past doesn't want to be left? Everything happens and exists for a reason, Severus." She said, finally letting go of her companion. "I smell a very long plot line involving us trying to figure out what this amulet wants from us, Severus. Dark times are upon us." Trill moaned in a very dreadful voice that could only spell troubled waters ahead.
