The Aquarius Waterfall is another place to swim, hang out, or even find true love. It is a very romantic spot, open to all who dare to brave its crashing falls, the crushing force it exhibits near the tumultuous basin where it reaches its deepest point.

Konata edged into the territory, her thick black fur still ruffled, sticking up at all ends, the bangs hanging down in her eyes to hide the widened silver irises, her breathing quick and rushed, as if near panic - even though she and her mentor, Aspen, had left the bear and all evidence of it behind, the young teenager was sill caught up in her memories - horrid things that plagued her each and every night, reiterated by the constant dull ache within the front appendage that was her left front limb. The light pink of the scar tissue shown lightly in the flickering daylight, the gentle rush of the falls over head provided a soothing sound, to those who might listen. But Konata was still caught up in the past, that horrid day when she had discovered her mother's treachery, the very day the young fifteen year old had been left to die, to be ripped apart and spread all over the territory by a bear's vicious claws. Though the animal had not succeeded, as the young Dire Blood had managed to escape with her life intact, even though her body was severely wounded. Her mental state and psyche were another matter altogether, as well - seeing as the wretched event had traumatized her to no end, it had caused an already withdrawn Konata to become downright antisocial almost - she rarely, if ever spoke, and almost never without an ever constant stutter. Save for those occasions in which she felt braver, bolder, or simply knew the other person extremely well, of which there was almost no one to qualify. Save for Aspen, the wonderful mentor who had taken the youth beneath her protective wing and slowly, slowly, began to coax her bit by bit out of her shell. And Konata had been doing well - she was speaking more, appeared more active, readily engaged - until now, that was. Now, she was sitting by the slow churning waters of the river that the falls turned into, staring listlessly into her reflection, once injured leg tucked up by her side, tail wrapped tightly around her, ears flat and head drooping. The fur remained fluffed, spiked up along her spine and back in a rather rigid manner, and the gentle dip of her longer fangs glistened against the midnight hue of her blackened lips, molten silver orbs of her eyes clearly defining that at this particular moment, at this exact second in time, the young apprentice could not be more than a million miles away.

Thanatos has entered the area a large black figure that was moving slowly, hands tucked deep in to his pockets where the only part of him visable was part of his face and black hair. He noticed Kona sitting at the waters edge, noticeing konata looking rather depressed. He decided to take a chance and talk to her. His whole bodyu and instinct telling him not to. Telling him he would only cause her demise if he slipped up, He pushed those thoughts away as he neared her a small few splashes as he walked through a few puddles on his way. "E-Excuse me?" He called out to her, his voice rather nice for how he looked, someone could almost mistake it for someone elses voice.

Startled, Konata's head jerked up, and she whirled around, seeming to shrink on on herself even as her fur stood rigid along her spine, tail curling at half mast as she gave a half hearted snarl. The ears, big for her age and size, as she was rather small for a Dire, even if her fangs clearly marked her as such, and she was bigger than a normal, average Wolven, first pricked, catching the notes of his voice and the inklings that were implied - she guessed he meant her no harm - then flattened against her skull, bangs dripping in front of her face once more. Her pelt was thick and midnight black, charcoal in hue, with a brightly golden pattern etched along her back, shoulders, and flanks. The tail was long, and extremely fluffy, more so than most, and the eyes...the eyes were often what many would consider her most fetching feature. They weren't an ordinary brown, or the now common tones of cobalt blue, nor were they the rapidly growing green or hazel. Neither were they a traditional gold. No, these orbs were silver, a glittering, molten silver that shimmered in the slightest glimpse of light, and drew another to her, even if she herself did not. Her left leg, half covered in scar tissue, was drawn up towards her chest, though one could tell the injury was old, and that she had long since healed from any physical trauma. She didn't speak, however, merely dropped her head and backed away, shying instinctively from his contact.

Member Posts: 1821 | Thanatos frowned as she shied away "im. Not going to hurt you.... i.. just wanted someone to talk to.. and you seemed rather depressed... " Thanatos looked down at her. His size indicating he must be a dire as well. And his eyes were actually similar to her own except much more.. gray and somber looking... he knew his outfit probably scared her or put her at unease... he gently sat down putting himself in a more vunrable position showing he ment what he said when he wouldn't hurt her. "My name is Thanatos... yours?"

Site Owner Posts: 550 | Konata shivered as he sat, whispering softly as she did, "K-k-k-konata." Realizing she was keeping her scarred leg off the ground, she gingerly replaced it, though she was sure he would still notice her limp. It was something she might always retain now, none knew for certain. Lowering her haunches to the ground she tucked her fluffy tail about her once more, keeping her head lowered. Her voice, thin and whispering, murmured, "W-w-what a-are y-you d-doing on Volcano Pack t-t-territory?"

Thanatos looked over at her, his pale grey eyes meeting her brighter silver ones. From what she could see, only able to see half of his face and some of his hair as his mouth was covered a bit he was fairly young and rather handsome. She could notice the grass wilting where he sat dieing off rather fast "Your... Already afraid of me...?" He sounded horribly depressed, as if he really wasnt sure why he wasnt surprised, or even why he was trying.. Although he tried to reassure her "Konata.. thats a nice name... im.. just wandering.. looking for a place that would accept me i guess... Im not going to hurt you on purpose... As long as you dont touch me, you will be fine... I cant promise you the same otherwise.. Im cursed.. Unwanted.. If you would like i could leave you be.." He spoke rather somberly, although the nice tone of his voice remained. Perhaps she would be curious now. Perhaps she would be horrified, or even dumb.. or brave enough to disreguard his warnign and to touch him.. He wore all black and kept most of his face hidden so those could only see from his nose up to his forhead.. and that was if he wasnt wearign his mask like right now.. He didnt seem to have any weapons on him which was odd.. "Whats the point of me even trying anymore.." He muttered to himself as if he was fighting within himself to get up or to stay a little longer... He shifted a bit and rested oen hand on the ground which caused the grass there to wilt as well..

Site Owner Posts: 550 | Konata was about to open her mouth to reply to him when he both asked his question and explained thay he would not hirt her, but she was never quite given tue chance, for no sooner had she opened her stutterung mouth had the bear from earlier reappeared - right in front of Konata, no less, its thick arms and tue sight of ots monstrous claws causing her to freeze, a flashback of tue last time she had faced such a horror resurfacing. Her mother...her mother had left her there. Had given her to tue bear and then disappeared so thay what was left of her mighr rot. She could still feel tue brutal slice of the talons, feel the biting cut of their maim. She could smell the anger in the air, and could imagine its fierce roar - not that she had to - another one was standing right here. Right in front of her. About to do the same thing. About to take yet another of her fragile lives.

Thanatos saw the mighty beast appear before her and sprang up from his sitting position his black coat/cape dramaticly risein with him fluttering behind him as the bear raised its paw to strike Konata down. Thanatos was quicker however sprinting to her aid and tackleing her out od harms way his body toucheing hers obviously as this happened. His eyes widened as he realised his fatal error as they landed. He didnt waste time yet to see if she was okay.. Truthfully he didnt want to know.. He didnt want to see her lifeless eyes staring blankly up at him.. the briliant silver turning into a dull hazy grey... "F-Forgive me.." He spoke to her as he rose and faced the bear who now was even angryer that its prey was snatched from its grasp. Thanatos calmly approached not armed with a single weapon. As the bear let out a feirce roar and went to swipe at him he simpally ducked under its paw before taking his hand, which he had removed the red glove from and placed it on the bears neck. Not even in a choaking manner just simpally putting it there. The bear just went.. limp. crumbled and crashed down before him in to the earth dead... The grass around him.. where each footstep he had placed was wilted... and he turned back to Konata and let out a gasp. She was sitting up...? She was moveing!? "Y-Your....?!: His voice was the tone of pure shock and amazement. He trembled a bit and ran over to her scooping her up in to a hug which probably surprised her more then the bear

Site Owner Posts: 550 | Konata had hunkered down in fear, shying away from the great behemoth of a bear, flinching away from its rampaging anger. She was hunched down, appearing smaller than she really was, her head down and molten silver eyes closed, unable to lift her fangs in her own defense, unable to bring her claws to bare. Had there been another to protect, someone whom she knew well that was relying on her, Konata might have been able to bring herself to fight. Someone like Aspen, perhaps. But Thanatos she did not, and besides, he could always run away. She could not. Consumed by memories, by absolute fear, Konata was paralyzed, and she wasnt going to be breaking free anytime soon. A sudden thud and crash caused her to gasp as she was thrown to the ground, a white hot flash of pain thundering through the age old injury that was her leg. Splayed out across her side, Konata lay still for a few moments, mentally gathering herself as she sluggishly figured out she wasnt dead, and she couldn't feel the bear's claws piercing through the thick protection that was her pelt. Sitting up, moving slowly, she blinked, tucking her tail more tightly between her legs at the sight thay greeted her young, inexperienced eyes. It was dead....? How...? She didn't know, couldn't fathom how it was possible. His hug, however, startled her, and she let out a surprised yip as she mistakenly reverted back to her human form - something she hadn't done for a long, long time.

Thanatos senseing her shock and probably discomfort from being hugged by him promptly let her go and took a few steps back eyes wide with surprise. It took him a moment as he studdered trying to get his words out before he shut up and took a breath to calm him self. He spoke again, more composed yet still rather exited and amazed "Y-Your not.. dead...?" He asks the obvious.. before explaining to her, so she would understand why he was so confused "I-Im cursed... Everything i touch dies... Grass... plants.. Bears" He began worried she would actualy be angry at him "I... I saw it chargeing at you.. and... i forgot entierly.. i just wanted to make sure you were okay and i forgot in the heat of the moment... That... everything.. i touch dies..." He looked down realiseing how bad that sounded now.. "I-Im sorry... I didnt... realise what i did untill it was too late... B-But... y-you havent... died yet... Y-Your immune..?" He asks biting the inside of hsi cheek worried the first person he met whom was immune to his touch.. would hate him

(Part one) Konata immediately backed away when he released her - not due to surprise or startlement, like he might think, but because she wasn't comfortable with human contact, and besides that, his tight embrace had hurt her already throbbing shoulder and arm. This was only the second time she'd shifted into the human spectrum after her near fatal injury, which, through a series of unfortuante events and infection, had indeed later stolen one of her six lives. She was young, to have died in such a horrible manner, but Thanatos didn't know that, even if he could see the scar. It was still visible upon her left side, starting at the top of her collarbone, at the very edge of her shoulder, and extending down, covering both a small portion of her chest, and a larger swath of her arm. It was clear that though she was learning to overcome it - after all, she now had a very odd but effective gait when it came to moving quickly, and she could now run without tripping over it constantly - it was still stiff, and often pained her in its bothersome interference. Particularly when switching forms. Her hair was long and a softer shade of her brown, her skin a pale creamy white.

(Part two) The eyes remained their molten silver, and it appeared she had at least three hairstyles all in one - there was a bun with the upper half of her hair, the bangs pulled back and held down to keep them from her face, with the rest flowing freely down her shoulders, a braid dangling idly upon the formerly injured side. Her tail and ears remained in this figure as well - perhaps that astonished him, she wasn't sure if he had ever seen a Wolven before, much less a Dire Blood like herself. She was smaller than he, around a delicate five foot three, and slender, with a petite and fragile looking frame, though one wasn't sure if it were her attitude and disposition, caused by her extreme shyness and stammering nature of speech, that caused this, or if she truly did look sickly. The essence of the scar certainly didn't help, either way. She was clad all in black herself as well - black form fitting pants, and boots were upon her legs, along with the rest of her clothing was a mesh that was clearly used for defensive fighting that halted midabdomen and came just below her sleeves, cleverly covered by a three quarter sleeve, open necked shirt that revealed a bit more than one would think of her body, but was modest all the same. Her tail, thick and black as it had been before, curled around her legs as she pushed them together, crossing her arms over her chest, almost appearing to cradle the left one, absentmindedly rubbing the age old injury. Her voice, when she spoke, was just as soft as before, and just as stuttering. "N-n-n-no, I-i-i'm n-not dead."

(part 3) The bright silver of her eyes never left him as he moved and spoke, watching him almost constantly, save for when she blinked. "O-o-oh," she murmured, after his explanation. "I-i-i-i'm s-sort of c-c-cursed t-t-too...I-i-i'm a n-n-necromancer." She wondered if he even knew what it was, or what they could do. If he didn't, she wasn't keen on enlightening him - many in the pack didn't know this was her special ability, for necromancers were considered dark and dangerous due to the nature o ftheir powers, and often shunned, ridiculed. Sometimes even killed or kicked out. It wasn't a power she was used to sharing, but he had a right to know why she hadn't died at his touch. Especially so he wouldn't go around getting ideas that he wasn't cursed anymore.

Thana was able to get a better look at her now and upon seeing her scars and injurys he felt a bit saddened wondering just what had happened to her, Noticeing she also seemed to have a bit of a limp in her step he wondered even more what happened but seeing her extreme shyness he didnt dare pry "Ive.. never met a Necromancer before" He stated not judgeing her for her abilitys. "Im.. sorry i caused you pain.." He frowns a bit having noticed after she backed away that she seemed to be in more discomfort and pain then before, and having no healing abilitys it made him feel rather guilty as he couldnt help her. Her hairstyle did seem to catch his attention but he didnt ask about that either "If... im bothering you i can leave.." He offered rather sadly, as he really didnt want to go after finding out she was immune to his curse, although her stuttering had made him thinl she was fearful of him.. or he was making her uncomfortable in some way or form. And again Thana was feeling that depression welling up inside of him, after finnaly finding someone who he didnt kill at the first touch he would have any hopes of having a friend crushed yet again.. Of course it could just be her shy nature making her stutter, and thana would not know that as he really doesnt know much about her "i.... didnt hurt.. you did i?" He asks noticeing her holding one of her arms. He didnt mean to crash in to her that hard... And he had hoped he had saved her from harm rather then caused it
