Volcano Pack:                 

Excise rested softly, quietly. Apparently he was quite the house guest - if one didn't stumble into the bedroom upon him, they would have sworn he weren't even there. He didn't even snore, though his golden locks, the color of corn rows in the summer time, shone silver in the faint moonlight that was filtering through the blinds, the pale pallor that was his skin belying his serious condition - or, at least, just by looking at him, one would think it was serious, though it was a series of mere minor bumps and bruises on his part - and the bandages that the medics had wrapped about his head were still upon him, just a bit dingier than they had been upon their placement. Other than that, if one overlooked a few tears and rips in his clothing, he looked healthy as a horse....if horses had bruises, that was. No doubt about it, he looked pretty beaten up, but when conscious, he acted normally, and as if he were fine, for as long as he were able to keep up the facade. However, Liz had to be in worse shape than he was - her day had been just as rough, even if she hadn't directly been in the crash, and she was only human. Inwardly, Excise had been astonished she'd lasted this long, but that said something for willpower. It was the stuff of legends, and could give even the most downtrodden of beings hope and the ability to go on, even when all might have seemed lost or pointless. Of course, that also ventured into the realms of hope, but even if he were awake right now, Excise wouldn't go there - it wasn't something he particularly cared to talk about or consider, preferring instead to ponder and focus on the case before him, rather than sit in puzzlement over the stores of fate. Still, one would have expected him to move about the bed more, or to at least change position, but he lay as if lifeless, almost as if even on a subconscious level, he understood that he was not home, and that the bed he lay in was not his own.

Liz stirred in her sleep and muttered something. She groaned and her body twitched as her heart and breathing picked up. her hand gripped his shirt like a death grip before she let out a scream kicking out throwing her arms all over the place. one slapping him in the face again at the same time her feet kick out at his legs. She flips off one way then rolls over and slams her face into his chest once more throwing a punch that just  barely missing his face as the other one kinda weakly sleep hits him in side of his gut just under the ribs. even while she slept she knew where to punch for the most effect. 

Peter was still thinking when he heard LIz let out a scream. he quickly wrapped his arms around Elza" No... let Excise handle her "he said gently knowing that if they moved they'd become targets of the sleeping terror.

"B-But!" Elza whimpers trying to get free "If shes having a nightmare we should wake her up.." Elza didnt understand why Peter wasnt agreeing that she should be woken up as soon as possible

Excise was rudely awakened by the feel of her death grip clutching his shirt and chest, and no sooner had he opened his eyes than she was flailing, throwing the bewildered officer of a male completely off guard, causing him to sit up with a quick shake of the head and a brief second in which was taken to process the circumstances and surroundings, one of his larger hands instinctively grabbing hold of her smaller one, though he wasn't able to keep it from slapping him across the face. Indeed, he found his head turning with the blow, and then doubling over a bit as her other arm found the sore spot of his ribs, her vicious feet digging into his lower body, the male not sure what to do or how to get her under control. It was clear to Excise that she wasn't aware of what she was doing - the speed of her heart, the rapid twist of her breath, as well as the sheen of sweat upon her brow when coupled with her wild thrashing - all told him that she was having a nightmare, though he wasn't sure of what, or how exactly he was supposed to handle it. Not with his face or abdomen, certainly. That much, to him, at least, was clear, even as her free limb came back for another blow. Catching it, Excise attempted to restrain her, his clear voice barking, "Liz! Liz, calm down! It's me, Ex - " He was cut off again as her feet shoved into him, catching the brute off guard and knocking him off balance, sending the two of them tumbling head over heels into the floor - a tremendous crash announced their presence there, and Excise winced as Liz worked her hand free and dug her nails into his scalp and flesh, twisting the long golden locks of his hair about her fingers as if they were nothing more than mere strings or hairbows meant for her own hair. "Ow! Ouch," he muttered as she then kneed him in the gut, letting out a cough as he bent over once more, his forehead briefly resting against her shoulder. That was, until she butted him back and he slouched against the table, futilely grabbing at her hands once more as she raised them, prepared to attack again - this clearly wasn't working. Perhaps it was time he try a different approach. So, against all judgement and his better intution, Excise wrapped his partner up in the only other disarming procedure he knew - a bear hug. "Liz, seriously. Wake. Up. It's me, Excise." When she at last grew still and relaxed within his embrace once more, the Hybrid gave a sigh of relief and slumped back, listing against the junction between bed and table, closing his eyes as he took a couple of deep breaths. He didn't look forward to doing that again.

Peter heard Excise wake up and try to get a hold of her. He winced hearing some of the thrashing and winced" um... let me... She can be a walking nightmare when she's like this "he said getting up and walking in. he stopped when he saw Excise had her in a bear hug and she struggling. he smiled and nodded. Liz did slowly wake up and groaned a little. She lifted her head finding herself in Excise's arms. She blushed some and looked at him. She blinked" I thought I heard him just talking to me.. must have been dreaming... first off where am I? how am I sleepign with Excise? and what happened? "She asked openingly before poking his cheek" Excise get up  "She said gently and remembered they were at peter and Elza's. She still wasn't sure how she felt about him being a wolven but at least she wasn't being threatening. She sighed" Excise wake up we should properly get out of here "she said gently. 

Elza had followed Peter in to the room and sort of held on to one of his arms wondering who she was more angry yet. her or Peter.. She wondered what had caused the screaming from before and assumed it must have been a nightmare or something similar. She didnt say anything and looked away when Liz looked at her still feeling rather guilty about the whole thing.

Peter couldn't help but smile seeing them together and he had a thought of them together. though there was the whole Excise was a hybred thing. He chuckled hearing his responce. Liz blinked slowly and nodded" yeah "she said gently and glanced over to see Peter and Elza. She blinked some seeing the girl look away. She sighed" how bad? "She asked glancing down. wondering about both the fight and the resulted effect of her having a nightmare. 

Elza still didnt speak letting peter talk to them. Liz could talk to her and pull her aside before she left if she had the heart to do so. It seemed like even though they all said it wasnt her fault she was taking the blame inside.

Liz thanked him for helping her up when he stood up. She looked at him and nodded gently" alright "she said softly before looking at them. She saw how Elza was looking down and had her ears back. She closed her eyes for a moment and reminded herself to be calm. She opened her eyes and bit her lip some. She looked at Peter and saw that he had some burises forming. Liz slowly walked up to him didn't know what to say. Peter pulled Elza to him and held his arm out to Liz. Liz instantly rushed forwarnd and hugged them both. Her face barried against them" I'm sorry "she whispered. Peter held both of them close to him. He understood it was hard for Liz but this was a step to help Liz accept wolvens and that not all of them were bad. 

Elza clung on to Peter nearly falling over not expecting to be rushed and grabbed in to a hug like that. She tensed up before slowly relaxing "I-its okay" She managed to quietly whisperhaving one arm around her and one around peter.

Liz hide her face and teared up some as she cried in their shoulders. Peter hugged her gently and rubbed her back" don't worry nothing will change between our friendship... we're family " he whisperd softly. Liz nodded gently" yeah "She said gently and looked up at him" I do have to admit... ears fit you and wait I don't smell smoke on you"

"I.. Uh... Well i sorta forced him to quit" She spoke quietly although not as tense and as worried as earlier. She saw Excise walk out and decided to mess with him. She knew he had no idea how she fixed his car so fast... As he approached the car she turned it over letting the V8 come to life loudly. She tried to hide the smile forming on her lips wondering how badly he jumped as his car came to life before him. He still would have the keys in his hand or pocket as well.

Liz lookeed at her and blinked"  Wow "She said gently and looked at her" you know what Peter I like this girl.... "She said gently with a smile. calling her a girl instead of a wolven like she often would when dealing talking to or about a wolven. She still had some tears in her eyes but it wasn't as bad as earlier. She hard the car going and blinked. Peter chuckled softly hearing it" love that sound "he said gently and put his lips to Elza's ear" my second favorite sound "he said gently. Liz raised a brow" what's first? "She asked. Peter chuckled and turned his face giving Elza a kiss on the cheek. 

Excise paused when the car started of its own violation, hesitating in his step for a split second. This was a bit odd, and quite frankly, he considered it freaky. Still he wouldn't run back in there and distrub his partner while she was making amends with her old friend and his new mate. Excise was happy for Peter and Elza, sure, but he kept them, and the rest of the world, at arm's length still yet. He glanced back over his shoulder towards the house area, however, unsure of if he should approach the purring vehicle.

Elza couldnt help bit smirk as she made the car coast foward and have the door swing open as if inviting Excise to hop inside. The randomstart up could be odd but explained but the cruising foward and door opening on its own was worthy enough to freak anyone out. "He might come running in thinking his car is haunted now" She whispered to them both

Peter laughed loudly at this and smiled" nice "he said gently. Liz blinked and raised brow" I'm guessing your abiltiy has something to do with cars? seeing how quick you fixed the two up "she said gently. 

Actualy its anything electronic or mechanical... I could show you if you would like before you  go" She grins a bit seeing she was proud of her power and how useful it was  "Wolven get three powers but i only have one. guess its just that useful. Well actualy too but the second one is tied to the first one
