Peter nodded" yeah I sure am "he said gently then opened the door. the smell of steaks was strong even a human could smell it. He grinned" oh yeah that's what I'm talking about "he said smoothly stepping in and holding the door for him. As he waited for her he saw a huge steak being carried past him and he kinda leaned over watching it go. His eyes were on the steak and was like what ever that was I want it that. He grinned and glanced at her like oh yeah now this is a restaurant!. 

Elza smiled a bit seeing how Peter kept eyeing the food "Whats wrong? you look like you havent eaten in days" She teased as they were seated and ordered their drinks and food. Elza seemed happy but peter knew there was still some stuff that bothered her in the back of her mind somehow

Peter glanced at her and chuckled some" haven't had a steak for a while... "he said smoothly and grinned. When they sat down and got their food ordered. He glanced over at her and gave a gentle smile. He knew she seemed happy but he knew that deep down there was something bothering her. He wished he could help and figure out what's wrong and make it right. 

Elza was heasitant to make small talk at first unsure what to even talk about. On the outside she could seem happy but a little bothered by something but on the inside she still was a mess. Did she like peter? did he like her? Was he even the right kind of guy for her? She didnt know any of the answers and more questions seemed to pile up every minute

Peter smiled softly and slowly slide his hand across the table and took her hand gently. He gave it a gentle squeeze and held it. " even though we just met I do care about you and if there is anything I can do to help I want too" he saidd softly. 

"Could.... you tell me more about yourself?" She asks blushing a bit not expecting him to do that. It did make her feel a little bit better however. and she was very glad he cared about her

Peter smiled softly and nodded" sure... Well I grew up around chicago mostly the outskirts of it. the house I grew up in was originally my great grand father's Farm house and slowly some of the land was sold off bit by bit as the city grew. We still kept a pretty nice sized lot there. My Sister and her family live there now since they needed a place to live and I was moving so I decided to give them a place. growing up My dad was pretty strict. he was Ex navy seal and had a temper. But even though he had those faults of strictness and a temper he was still so good. if one of his old seal buddies died and left behind family he'd look in on the family for his buddy and all that... I'm the middle child the oldest is Mark who owns a a few rather popular restaurants in town. My sister who got the house is an Art teacher but she also does art on her own and sells them. She is really good at that she's close to my age. our little siblings are twins Rob he's a little foot ball star and Macey she's our fasion and make up person. She loves anything and actually designs her own line of clothing. Liz I kinda treat like my sister I met her back in pre-k and we been friends ever sense. I watched over her during school after her parents died and did what I could to help... then later on. Dad was mad that I decided to go into law enforcement when he wanted me to do business. so he kinda stoped talking to me and after collage he ended up getting came home. We reconnected and got along.. He admitted why he was mad that I chose law was because he was actually scared for me..... it wasn't but a few weeks before he got hospitalized and passed away. Liz was there for me through all that. through my dad being mad at me, through the funaral and helping with everything afterwords. "he said gently and smiled gently att her. He pulled up his sleeve to reveal a tattoo he had gotten. it was an eagle that had the american flag shadows in it's wings and in it's tallon it was carrying large dogtags that had his father's Initials on one tag and on the other is has the rest of the families Initials. 

No idea why this didnt post yesterday XD) Elza kept quiet while listening to his story. And while she tried to stay happy she was quickly almost crying. She hadnt known her family. She really hadnt gotten to know anyone this personally either. But that wasnt the issue that scared her. She knew if Peter found out about her past. Or even her warrent she possibly had he would hate her. She was wanted for not just murder. But the murder of another officer from raccoon city. She knew it wasnt her fault. It was a street race like any other she was challanged to. She didnt cause the cop to crash. She didnt even know the guy was a cop at all untill she saw it on the news. She started feeling sick and peter knew something was up. No one else was in the resturant in their area so they could discuss this privately now

Peter looked at her and blinked. He didn't want to use his abilty on her but he decided maybe she was scared about how people would react or what would happen. He gave a gentle smile" Elza you can tell me anything... I'm not a cop right now I'm off duty "he said gently taking his badge and putting it away. He turned his gaze back at her and took her hand again. He hoped she would open up some or at least know that he would listen to the whole story" I'm a good listener... I listen to everything someone says before saying a word "he said gently.

"On or off duty it doesnt matter.. it will be all the same anyway..." Elza seemed in more stress then she had been ever since peter met her. She looked around making sure no on else was around them. "Im wanted for murder Peter. Murdering a cop that I never touched... So just... get it over with..." Elza had seemed to give up. Like she was tired of running and just quit.. She had her head lowered so she wasnt looking at Peter and her arms out waiting for him to arrest her. Atleast Peter wouldnt see her cry, she was thankful for that atleast.

Peter listened to what she had to and blinked. He took a breath" take a seat Elza... tell me exactly what happened and when and where?" he said smoothly and kind. showed that he wanted to hear exactly what happened. His hand wasn't holding onto her harshly it was gentle and comfortingly.

She was shakeing and sat down. "I street race... i figured you could tell...Guy wanted to race me in one of the newer chargers... I couldnt tell it was an undercover... We raced and half way down the highway he turned his lights on. I didnt stop and he ended up hitting the center divider rail... I wasnt anywhere near him... " She still didnt tell the whole story and he sensed there was another incident she was leaving out. or perhaps blocking out

Peter nodded and listened to her before raising a brow sensing something was off. He gently rubbed his thumb over her hand softly" anything else happen? that your not telling me or blocking out and forgetting? "he asked smoothly.

She bit her lip "Yeah....." She was shaking... this was something horrible.. perhaps it would be best if he used hos powers aqnd found out without her speaking about it.. it was clearly traumatic. she had tears running down her face

Peter blinked slowly and tried to read her and find out her secret so she wouldn't have to say it. He tried to make sure he didn't pry to much but he needed to hear the whole story.

What peter found shocked and disterbed him. Elza had been on the run and was caught by an officer. But what shocked him was what the officer did. He was goiung to let her go if she let him have his way with her. When she refused he got violent and attacked her ending up with her fighting back and ultimately killing him with his own shotgun. He saw she was wanted for that murder as well and a nationwide manhunt was out for her. when he snapped back to reality she was crying. She knew he knew and had no idea what would happen

He blinked and froze. what the officer did was unspeakable and dishonorable. He shook his head" I'd say that's self defense... he attacked you after trying to talk you into doing something you didn't want to do... "he said gently and gently pulled her into his arms" it's ok.... I promise I will clear your name. What was the officer's name? "he asked smoothly. 

"How can you clear my name.... Your.. not the cheif.... Its my word against his.. there is no proof he did that he even had his dash cam off when he picked me up... No one beleives me.... why... do you...? How.... How the hell...." She was confused now and just burried her face in to his chest.. Perhaps the best thing to do was to calm her down and enjoy the food before it got there and started to cool off. then he could tell her how he knew and what he would do to help her

Peter held her gently and gently rubbed her back" shh it's ok don't worry about it right now.. ok? "he said gently and kissed her forehead. He knew that he had a little bit of pull with the department even some higher people because of his job he saved many lives including a big shot's daughter which he could call in some favors.
