Damon hissed again, a feral sound if there ever was one, but he let it drop. The attitude Ber cocked wouldn't last long around the other vampires, and while the black haired male wasn't in the mood to deal with it, he had learned tolerance, at least from Aphrodite, and knew he could ignore the male's taunting remarks and snide comments. To a certain extent, at least. "Very well, if you are so eager, then get your lazy carcass of the couch and moving. We'll start with the gang's most current order of business: turning those in our debt. This is not negotiable, as we are facing war with the Volcano Pack soon, and as of this exact moment, they outnumber our own ranks. Therefore we must bolster our own numbers, hence this most recent order. I will meet you in the city in a half hour." With that, Damon stood languidly, and within a few moments, he was gone, his taller, lanky form disappearing from view as the door closed softly behind him, almost as if afraid to slam on its hinges, for the trembling notion of terror that the second in command would turn and incinerate it should the hapless thing incur his sinister wrath. Akio and Ber both were left alone then, they knew when the elder male had left - his presence was a strict one, and could not be missed, and given that many vampires knew when their higher ranks were about, it gave credence to the legends regarding their sensory perceptions, and the fact they knew when others of their kind were around, even if said subjects weren't exactly what one might call "close."

Ber nodded his understanding to Damon before the elder vampire left. Once he no longer felt his presence, Ber turned to Akio with a more genuine smile and planted a kiss on the human's forehead. "I think that went well. What do you think?" He chipped, actually thinking things went peachy. "We are going to forcefully turn people though. I don't know how well that'll go over."

"Will you be okay..?" Akio asks showing genuine concern for Ber knowing what he was going to be doing was risky. "I want to help in any way i can.. just to make sure you dont get into any trouble.. You.. really want to be with this kinda group though?" Akio asks still trying to figure out why Ber stayed with them. "It doesnt really seem like the group you would even like.. Well.. to me atleast"

Ber shrugged his shoulders. "At the moment, they're the closest I have to actual friends, so why not?" He admited with a slight smirk. "Besides, Damon's lesson sounds fun. I am, after all, a vampire and this sounds like a good opertunity for another free meal!" He chipped, pulling Akio into a hug. "Don't worry about me, Akio. I've got everything under control."

"I thought i was going to be your free meal?" Akio asks his voice turning rather teaseing in its tone as he hugged back gently "If you say so... Still.. dont go getting hurt out there.." He rested his head on Ber's chest rather cutely "They dont really seem the kind to be too friendly.. but who knows maybe once your around more they might treat you better. I hope so atleast"

Ber burried his nose into Akio's hair as he spoke. "Maybe, but if not, oh well I suppose. I mean... no time wasted, right?" He chuckled. "Say, you wanna catch a quick bite before we have to go meet the fun sponge again?"
